What Does Bennett Scale Off Of? [Best Support of All Time?]

Extremely Versatile 4-Star Burst Support

Bennett is a Mondstadt 4-star character mainly used for his elemental burst, Fantastic Voyage - arguably one of the best pyro characters in Genshin Impact. He's commonly put into teams with the most fun-to-play characters in Genshin Impact!

I displayed the in-game description of Bennett's burst so you don't have to switch back and forth the character page. In the case where the image cannot load, here is the word-for-word description:

"Bennett performs a jumping attack that deals Pyro DMG, creating an Inspiration Field.

Inspiration Field

• If the health of a character within the AoE is equal to or falls below 70%, their health will continuously regenerate. The amount of HP restored scales off Bennett's Max HP.
• If the health of a character within the AoE is higher than 70%, they gain an ATK Bonus that is based on Bennett's Base ATK.
• Imbues characters within the AoE with Pyro."

If that was too complicated, here is the Razor explanation (simplified language) to the rescue:

1. Bennett hits the ground to make a big thumbs-up field (this is Bennett's Inspiration Field).
2. Anyone on the thumbs-up field who has low health is healed based on Bennett's Max HP.
3. Anyone on the thumbs-up field who has enough health has an ATK bonus based on Bennett's Base ATK.
4. Any character on the thumbs-up field has a Pyro aura.

Scales Off Max HP and Base Attack

As observed from the highlighted parts of the picture, Bennett's main value as a character is based on his Base Attack and Max HP. Therefore, you will have to do two things:

• Choose a very high attack base weapon for Bennett
• Increase Bennett's Max HP to increase his healing abilities.

Weapon Choices for Bennett

Bennett enjoys swords with high base ATK stats, so swords like Mistsplitter Reforged, Aquila Favonia, and 4-star sword choice The Alley Flash are nice picks! Remember, please avoid the worst weapons in Genshin Impact as your bad choices affect Bennett's effectiveness.

Artifact Stats

Because of Bennett's universal support status, many teams like him to be energy self-sufficient. The optimal stats for him are:

• Sands of Eon - Energy Recharge % or HP %

• Goblet of Eonothem - HP%

• Circlet of Logos - Healing Bonus %

The images above are all screenshots of the artifacts I use for my Bennett. I strongly recommend the 4-piece Noblesse Oblige as it is universal (again, just please avoid the worst artifact sets in Genshin Impact)

You may also realize my artifact set is HP%/HP%/Healing Bonus%. I like to have more HP to ensure the survivability of my team. As enemies hit a lot harder in newer versions, I find it nice to have the extra bulk and healing for Bennett. To make up for the lack of an Energy Recharge sands, I ensure most of my other artifact pieces have Energy Recharge substats.

Potential Team Compositions

With his massive ATK boost to any character within his elemental burst's field, Bennett is extremely strong with any other character that scales of the ATK stat as well. Here is a very popular team composition that I love to use:

Rational (Raiden Shogun + National Team Variation)

The Rational team is a popular team that many players use (including myself) to clear all Abyss floors.

The reason why Bennett fits perfectly in this team is that both DPS (Raiden Shogun) and Sub-DPS (Xiangling) scale off their ATK stat to deal maximum damage. This allows them to easily nearly increase their raw damage by at least 30% by increasing everyone's ATK stat (of course, it also depends on your Bennett's base ATK stat!).

Moreover, Bennett can fill in the survivability role with his healing deriving from Fantastic Voyage. This allows optimal focus for damage dealing during Raiden Shogun and Xiangling's rotation on the field.

Other Powerful DPS with Bennett

Bennett is also an inseparable duo with many other DPS characters, such as Yoimiya, Lyney, Childe, Ganyu, and Ayaka! These characters all benefit a lot from Bennett's presence in their team, as their damage0dealing performance significantly increases!
