Soul Lantern is another variation of Lantern in Minecraft. They have aqua blue flames and work the same way as Lantern but with a weaker light level. Soul Lantern can repel Piglins if you need to adventure further in the Nether. But to craft Soul Lantern, you must go to the Nether first.

How to craft Soul Lantern in Minecraft

#1 Collect 8x Iron Nugget

Iron Nugget can be obtained by using 1x Iron Ingot in the crafting grid. Each Iron Ingot yields 9x Iron Nugget.

You can find Iron Nuggets in generated structures like Villages, Shipwrecks, Ruined portals, and Bastion remnants. They have a high chance to contain 1-18x Iron Nugget.

If you’re already in the Nether, trade with the Piglins is also a great idea! They have a small chance to give you 9-36x Iron Nugget.

Alternatively, you can smell any Iron or Chain armors and tools to get 1x Iron Nugget.

#2 Collect 1x Soul Torch

Soul Torch can only be crafted by using 1x Stick, 1x Coal/Charcoal, and 1x Soul Sand/Soul Soil.

You can craft Stick and find Coal easily by chopping some trees and looking for Coal Ores in the high mountain.

To get Soul Sand or Soul Soil, you must enter the Nether. They’re mainly generated in biomes like Nether wastes, Nether fortresses, and Soul sand valleys.

#3 Finish off crafting a Soul Lantern

When you have 8x Iron Nugget and 1x Soul Torch, right-click the crafting table and put 1x Soul Torch in the middle, then surround it with 8x Iron Nugget to craft 1x Soul Lantern.

What is the give command to get a Soul Lantern?

The command to give yourself a Soul Lantern is: /give @p soul_lantern 1
