How To Record Calls With Craig Bot

How To Record Discord Calls on Mobile
There are two ways you can record a Discord call on your phone:
Using the Craig Bot
Using your Screen Recorder
We’ve already talked about recording calls with Craig Bot, which works the same way as on mobile. You can type the same commands, and Craig Bot will work the same, so we no longer have to talk about it.
On the other hand, you can record a Discord call without anyone knowing using your phone’s Screen Recorder. Here’s how you can set it up:
Every phone, no matter the operating system, will have a Screen Recorder app
So, go to your phone’s search bar and type “Screen Recorder”
If it's your first time opening your Screen Recorder, some phones will ask you what audio you want to record
If you were asked this, choose Media and Microphone, or whichever option works best for you
Once everything is set up, you can join the Discord call and click on the Start Recording button
Keep in mind that the process might slightly differ between phones, but the procedures should be very similar and straightforward.
Your phone will record your entire phone screen and audio. So, if you want to cut out your phone screen from the recording, you can convert the MP4 file into an MP3 file, ensuring that the file is audio only.
Will People Know If You Record Discord Calls?
The answer is yes and no. It depends on which method you are using!
If you are using Craig Bot, people will know that you are recording the call because the bot will join the voice channel and change its name to “RECORDING”. Everyone in the call will be able to see this.
Craig Bot is a perfect method to record podcasts or talk shows on Discord, where everyone is aware that you will be recording.
However, nobody will know if you are recording the call if you use:
OBS Studio
Audacity
Your phone’s Screen Recorder
Since you are essentially recording your screen, nobody, even Discord itself, will know that you have begun recording the call. These three are safe methods that won’t expose you for recording the call.
