Is Valorant Really So Toxic? [Analysis]

So yeah, I would say that Valorant is toxic, but not as much as people seem to make it. 

I know, I know; in 2021, Valorant was voted the most toxic game among the ones that were nominated. However, for the past several months, in my Valorant competitive experience, people are more likely to simply mute people in Valorant and focus on the actual game. 

It's just not worth it to be toxic and get a week or more ban due to frustrations from a bad play. When taken lightly, Valorant is a lot more enjoyable game to play, and I think everyone will eventually come down to it.

What Makes Valorant A Toxic Game

Valorant has a similar player base to League, and they share the same, usually common issues in online gaming. The unusually high percentage of female players should surely help, as they are the less toxic ones, and have some of the best Valorant cosplays in the community.

In Valorant's case, verbal attacks towards them play a big role in why the gaming community thinks Valorant might be a toxic game.

Here's a list of all the factors that make Valorant toxic:

• Smurfing
• Sexism
• Diverse Cultures in the Community
• High stake gameplay
• eCouples & eDates

The last one is obviously a joke, but they are keen on drawing attention and toxicity towards themselves.

Are Riot Games Taking Care Of Toxic Players In Valorant

Competitive games need to have a somewhat healthy range of toxicity, and that is completely normal for today's standards. Riot Games have zero tolerance towards toxicity and encourages its community to constantly report bad behavior in their pubs. The latest addition that has negated a lot of the bad behavior is the real-time disruptive text detection.

Each time a person is being reported for toxic behavior the system activates itself and monitors the player's behavior in real-time. On top of the bad word filter, this is a fresh addition to the game and has since brought the number of toxic players in pubs drastically.
