Ascendant 3 Valorant Rank | All You Need To Know

Ascendant rank is an entirely new rank tier that Riot Games added to Competitive Play in Valorant Episode 5 Act 1 update. This Valorant rank tier comes with 3 new Competitive Play ranks (Ascendant 1, Ascendant 2, and Ascendant 3) and is founded between Diamond and Immortal, meaning that these are one of the highest ranks in the system.

Is Ascendant 3 Good in Valorant?

Ascendant 3 is one of the higher ranks to have in the Valorant ranking system. This Valorant rank surely comes with two things – high dedication and majestic skills.

In practice, having this Valorant rank means being better than 99% of players in the entire ranked distribution. Ascendant ranked player pretty much has it all in terms of skills!

1

In fact, Ascendant players have a very similar set of skills to the Immortal players, it’s mostly a matter of the number of games played; in short, it’s all about the ranked play grind.

How To Rank Up From Ascendant 3

Now, here are some tips to make you gain Rank Rating in Ascendant 3 and make it easier for you to climb higher ranks in the ranking system! These tips will guarantee you rank progress, regardless of what skill level you are playing on (including lower ranks), but are exceptionally accurate for the new Ascendant rank.

Play a Lot

The most important thing about Ascendant 3 is the number of games played. First of all, Rank Rating gains at Ascendant rank are not as high as on low ranks, so if you want to go to the higher ranks, you are in for many ranked games played.

2

Besides, the skill level at this rank is really high, especially since everyone wants to get to Immortal 1, and there are a lot of tryhards (much more than on your previous rank, believe us). That said, if you want to get a higher rank, be prepared for a big-time grind, and be in a constant chase for the sweet win streak.

Importance of Patience

Another essential thing when it comes to climbing out of the Ascendant rank is patience. As you rank up much slower, the climb can be super exhausting. But you know what they say – Rome wasn’t built in a day (them rhymes, right).

3

Realize that all you need to climb out of the Ascendant rank is a win rate of 65%, and it’s not that scary when you think about it. If you manage to win more games than you lose, you will get a higher rank. Just be aware that it might take your entire month to climb out of this hell… but well, after that, they will call you “immortal”, so totally worth it, no?

No Tilt Policy

This tip will actually work for all competitive games, especially for solo players who care about climbing to the highest rank. If you feel tired, irritated or whatever – just don’t play the game. If you lost a game in a terrible fashion or to your teammates trolling, avoid the ranking system at all costs.
