Clearing Obstacles

The first and easiest way to earn free gems for beginners is by clearing obstacles such as Logs, Bushes, and, most importantly, Gem Boxes.

Removing regular obstacles can give you anywhere from 0 to 6 gems. However, the number of gems you gain from clearing obstacles follows a pattern. Gem Mines

You can unlock the Gem Mine in the Builder Base. Once you’ve reached Builder Hall Level 3, you can repair the Gem Mine to have it up and running.

Gem Mines will passively produce free gems, just like a Gold Mine or Elixir Collector works. Upgrading your Gem Mine will help it produce gems at a faster pace.

The maximum level of a Gem Mine is Level 10. At Level 10, Gem Mines can produce 5.04 free gems a day. However, you will need a Level 10 Builder Hall to upgrade it to the maximum level.

Participating in Clan Games

Clan Games are monthly events where you and your clan complete challenges and earn points together. The more points your clan receives, the more rewards your clan will get.

Gems often appear as reward options in Clan Games. For every reward stage, players can pick one of the three rewards. If you’re in need of gems, you can always pick the gems over the other rewards!

To maximize the number of gems you can collect through Clan Games, make sure to participate and complete challenges!

Completing Supercell Event Challenges

Every once in a while, Supercell will hold time-limited Events where Challenges are given.

These events will require you to raid villages using a specific combination of troops. The challenges can vary, sometimes asking you to win multiplayer battles or three-star bases with the required troops.

Completing Challenges can give you anywhere from 25 to 200 gems, depending on how generous Supercell is feeling! Keep an eye out on your Events tab so you don’t miss out!

Joining Giveaways

Lots of YouTubers, streamers, and websites like us often do giveaways. You can participate in giveaways offering Clash of Clans promo codes or gift cards, such as Apple and Google Play rewards. Usually, joining these giveaways only requires simple requirements such as subscribing or liking a video.

Using Raid Medals

Raid Medals are another way for players to get lots of Clash of Clans free gems. Raid Medals can be obtained from Raid Weekends and Capital Gold. The Raid Medals can then be traded for various rewards through The Trader.
