Best Fortnite Seasons of All Time

Epic Games is in the midst of their 20th Fortnite Battle Royale Season, and we wanted to look back at some of the previous fan favorite Fortnite Seasons. Get your favorite walking shoes on, because we’re about to take a trip down memory lane to find the best Fortnite Season of all time.

Fortnite Chapter 1 | Season 10

Fortnite Season X was the final season of Fortnite Chapter 1. Fortnite Season X goes down in history as the height of Fortnite competitive play, being the season that encapsulated the first Fortnite World Cup. OG players may remember Fortnite Pro Player Bugha taking home first place in the Fortnite World Cup at the start of Fortnite Season X.

If you remember Bugha waning the World Cup, you may also remember the epic ending event to Fortnite Chapter 1 Season X, when the mysterious visitor released a meteor on the Fortnite Battle Royale map.

Finally, there was the Season X Battle Pass. Arguably the best Fortnite Battle Pass of all time with awesome Fortnite skins like Ultima Knight and Catalyst.

Fortnite Chapter 2 | Season 6

We saved one of our favorites for last, Chapter 2 Season 6. You may remember this season as the first season to introduce bows to Battle Royale! It took some players to get used to the crafting mechanics of Chapter 2 Season 6, but once the player base got a handle on crafting, all bets were off.

Final circles in Chapter 2 Season 6 were an eclectic mess of shockwaves, grenades, stink bombs, and fire. In a good way! Fortnite Bows were a much needed addition to Battle Royale, and we can’t wait for the next time they come back!

We didn’t fall in love with Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6’s Battle Pass for the most part. However, finally getting our hand on the Agent Jonesy skin made the average Battle Pass worth every V Buck. You can’t get this suited up Jonesy skin anymore, but you can find other Fortnite Skins With Suits!

Fortnite Chapter 1 | Season 7

Fortnite Season 7 couldn’t be left off this list for one reason only, the Infinity Blade. The Infinity Blade was the most fun melee weapon in Fortnite history. Future melee weapons like the Scythe from late in Fortnite Chapter 2, and the lightsabers which get re-released frequently can not compete with how fun the Infinity blade was.

Of course, there was more to Season 7 than the Infinity Blade. Most notably, the start of Fortnite Creative Mode. If you’re a new Fortnite player you might take Creative mode for granted, but without Fortnite Season 7 we wouldn’t have the Fortnite sandbox mode we all know and love!

Fortnite Chapter 2 | Season 5

Chapter 2 Season 5 blended an awesome bounty hunter and zero point theme to make an unforgettable Fortnite Season. While we didn’t fall in love with Epic Games’ choice of Battle Pass skins this season, the gameplay more than made up for it.

The bounty hunter theme plus the gold mechanic made Fortnite Battle Royale feel fresh again. Dropping at Dirty Docks, upgrading your inventory to Epic for almost no gold, and going bounty hunting was a ground hog day experience in Chapter 2 Season 5 that we wish we could go back to.

Five seasons later the bounty board and gold mechanics are still an integral part of Battle Royale, proving that Chapter 2 Season 5 was one of the most transformative seasons of Chapter 2.

Fortnite Chapter 2 | Season 4

Fortnite Chapter 2 was a fantastic Fortnite Chapter for crossover skins. Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 was an entire season dedicated to Marvel, with awesome fan favorite Fortnite Battle Pass skins in game like Iron Man, Groot, and Thor Marvel fans couldn’t get enough of this Fortnite Season!

On top of the Best Superhero Skins, Chapter 2 Season 2 had unbeatable Item Shop rotations including multiple Star Wars Skins and John Wick. Chapter 2 Season 2 had a Fortnite skin for every fan out there!

The gameplay in Chapter 2 Season 4 was also a blast! Iron Man’s Stark Industries remains one of the most fun POIs in video game history.

We can’t remember the last time we had as much fun as dropping from the Battle Bus into Stark Industries, trying to eliminate up to 20 players and take out Iron Man, one of the toughest Fortnite NPCs we’ve ever encountered. The reward was worth the challenge though, the vault plus Iron Man’s laser beam were a guaranteed Victory Royale!

Fortnite Chapter 3 | Season 2

You might think we’re crazy for including Chapter 3 Season 2 on this list before the seasons come to a conclusion, but you have to admit, it’s off to a great start! Not only does Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 have some of the best Battle Pass skins in history, it also introduced Fortnite Battle Royale No Build.

Members of the Fortnite community have been calling for a No Build Battle Royale mode for ages now, and Epic Games showed they are willing to listen to their fan base by releasing a no build game mode in Chapter 3 Season 2.

Plus, Chapter 3 Season 2 is shaping up to be a banger competitive season. It’s nowhere close to the size of the Fortnite World Cup live event in Season X, but major Fortnite esports teams like NRG Esports, Guild Esports, and Faze Clan have been competing in competitive Fortnite this season!

Fortnite Chapter 1 | Season 1

We couldn’t make a list about the best Fortnite Season without mentioning the origin, Fortnite Season 1, the first ever Fortnite Battle Royale Season. Not only is Fortnite Season 1 the first season, but it’s also home to a decent portion of the Rarest Fortnite Skins and Best Fortnite Skins.

Also, let’s not forget the iconic POIs that came with Fortnite Season 1. POIs like Tilted Towers, Dusty Depot, and Greasy Grove have returned to the game time and time again. The Season 1 POIs are so popular they’ve been parradied into Dusty Divot and New Tilted in future Fortnite Seasons.

Unfortunately, many of the POIs are not available in game anymore. However, the Fortnite Creative community has rebuilt many of the best POIs! You can find some of the best POI remakes in Best Fortnite Creative Codes and Best Practice Courses.

Fortnite Chapter 3 | Season 1

Players across the globe from North America, the United Kingdom, and South America can all agree Fortnite Chapter 3 got off to a strong start with Season 1. Chapter 3 Season 1 had some of the most fun POIs in the game's history, like Camp Cuddle, Paradise Palms, and our personal favorite, Rocky Reels.

Where Chapter 3 Season 1 really showed it’s value was in the items, the Stinger, which might be among the Best SMGs was a fantastic addition. Plus, the Sidearm Pistol may be the Best Fortnite Pistol. However, the best part of Chapter 3 Season 1 is hands down the Spider Man Web Spinners, the best movement item in Fortnite history.

We couldn’t believe how fun swinging across Chapter 3 Season 1’s map could be, until the web spinners were released. We can only hope the web spinners will return in a future Fortnite Season!

Fortnite Chapter 2 | Season 2

Chapter 2 Season 2 was the perfect storm to make for a top-tier Fortnite Season. Our favorite part of Chapter 2 Season 2 was the weapons. Several Chapter 2 Season 2 weapons made their way onto our Best Weapons Items List. Plus, the POIs in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 were the best of all time, specifically The Grotto.

There was no better feeling than grabbing Brutus’ Minigun, a Legendary Heavy Sniper, and a Pump Shotgun. All of which were easy to get at the best POI of all time, The Grotto. Players from the Xbox One Nintendo Switch, and the Xbox Series X could all enjoy Chapter 2 Season 2 equally.
