How to Get Supercharged XP in Fortnite [Explained]

Supercharged XP is an occasional bonus feature that Epic Games added in Chapter 2. The way it works is that it doubles the XP a player is earning while completing goals. The feature is offered to help players who haven't played Fortnite in a while so that they can increase their XP quicker to catch up to other players who play consistently.

How to Get Supercharged XP in Fortnite

Getting supercharged XP in Fortnite is quite simple, as all you really have to do is refrain from playing the game for a couple of days or even a week

Additionally, if you follow Fortnite's Twitter account, you'll be able to keep an eye out for announcements about when Epic Games is planning to launch another supercharged XP period. If you log in during the time that a supercharged XP period is in effect, you should see that your XP bar has changed from purple to yellow.

How Long Does It Last?

Similar to the amount of XP gained during a supercharged XP period, the length of time in which the supercharged XP feature remains in effect differs between players as well. Simply put, the feature lasts for however long it takes a player to obtain the amount of XP they missed while not completing daily quests.

Nonetheless, there is an 'expiration date', if you will, on the bonus feature. For instance, the feature lasted for about seven days when it began in season 2 of chapter 4. All in all, you'll know when your supercharged XP has expired once your XP bar turns back to purple from yellow.

Can You Get Max Supercharged XP?

Maxing out supercharged XP

While it is possible to get a maximum amount of supercharged XP, it's not guaranteed. Since the supercharged XP period is a limited-time feature, the only way for you to keep it going to gain more XP is by continuously abandoning your daily quests. Though, even by doing that, your supercharged XP will still expire.

It's likely much better to use the supercharged XP period to grind in high-XP gameplay. Leveling up that way isn't guaranteed to get you as much extra XP as the period will, but it does guarantee that you won't have to abandon your quests for an extra day once the expiration hits.

How to Get the Most Out of Supercharged XP

Completing seasonal goals for XP

The supercharged XP feature is one of the best ways to level up fast on Fortnite, so it's highly recommended that players grind from the beginning to the end of the time period to get the most out of it. Be that as it may, keep in mind that supercharged XP won't do much for you if you are already at a high level; it's more beneficial for lower-level players who want to catch up in XP.

There are a few things that can be done to ensure you are getting the most out of this feature. Of course, just winning battle royale matches will help, but one of the other best things you can do is complete your daily quests as well as the seasonal quests. These won't give you a ton of XP, but remember that the supercharged XP feature doubles all the XP you gain, so it'll still be helpful in leveling you up.

Leveling up in creative mode

Another great way to get the most while your XP is supercharged is by checking out some of the maps in creative mode. Depending on which creator codes you visit, some of the maps will reward you with high XP. For instance, OnlyUp! Fortnite is a great way to get XP while playing Fortnite.

How Much XP Does It Grant Players?

The amount of XP gained from using the supercharged XP feature differs from one player to another. It also depends on how much XP you missed out on while not completing your daily quests. For instance, some people have gotten 80k–100k+ in past Fortnite seasons.

As for the current chapter of Fortnite, chapter 4, Epic Games' website claims that the supercharged XP rate can grant players up to 5x the XP they earn doing daily quests. Since there is no set limit to how much XP a player gains, you'll just have to play to find out how much you'll gain.
