Fastest Ways To Level Up In Smite

Generally speaking there’s consensus among the community on a few things. Playing during special events & playing with boosters active are important elements if you want to gain the most experience in the fastest way possible. As it isn’t uncommon to see x2, x3, and sometimes even x4 experience gain during these events.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that you should just rush to 30, especially if you’re just getting into the game for the first time. Take your time to learn the game along the way, there’s no rush.

What the community can’t agree on the other hand is which game mode is the best to do this in. There are mainly two philosophies.

Play The Conquest Method

Certain players believe that the fastest way to reach level 30 is by playing conquest.

YouTuber DLennyEh even documented his experiences leveling from 0 to 30. He found that by playing conquest you could reach level 30 in 133.40 hours, just 2 more hours from just playing the MOTD.

The following is the most important thing to consider on your journey to level 30. If you’re planning on reaching level 30 in the fastest way possible, then playing conquest and focusing on being a team player is the way to go. But what does this mean?

This means that K/D/A doesn’t calculate into how much experience you get. The main factor that determines how much experience you get is if you win the match - or lose the match. Obviously, winning will grant you a higher reward. So, you should pick a god which you know that you can comfortably play in their dedicated role and help your team win.

If you want to play ranked conquest in SMITE after level 30, you also have to have played 30 normal conquest matches before. So either way, whichever method you choose to go with, you’ll still have to have played 30 conquest matches before you can play ranked.

Play The Joust Method

Another method is the joust method. The logic behind the joust method is the following.

“If experience is determined by a victory or defeat, and a shorter game mode allows you to have multiple games in a shorter time span, then playing a shorter game mode which allows you to have victories or defeats faster will help you gain experience faster.”

Now, that’s the philosophy at least. And many players swear by it. But let’s take a look at DLennyEh’s reference sheet from before. By his calculations, it would take you 134.76 hours to reach level 30 by just playing joust. Or about an hour more than by only playing conquest.

Here’s the elephant in the room though. These numbers are all estimates, as there really is nothing that can predetermine how much time you’ll actually need to hit level 30. So, in the end, it’s best if you just enjoy the ride.

Ok, let’s sum up the most important parts real quick.

The Most Important Things to Remember

Firstly, which game mode you pick doesn’t really matter. What matters the most is if you win or lose - winning being preferable. So, to increase your chances of winning the match, pick a god that you are comfortable with playing. This will help your team out tremendously and net you a victory more easily.

The second most important thing to keep in mind is to never miss an event. Events are critical to your journey of reaching level 30, as many events have experience boosters for the length of them that will help you out greatly. The best way to know if an event is upcoming is to check in on the news section on Smite’s official site.

Thirdly. Assuming money isn’t a problem for you. Whenever it is possible, play with a booster. A 30-day booster costs 500 gems. But, thankfully, boosters can also drop from events and treasure chests. So in the end, you might not have to spend money after all.
