Tier 1 Smite Skins Ranked [Top 12]

Ares's Destroyer skin is undeniably one of the best Tier 1 skins in Smite. However, some of the other Tier 1 skins aren't all that bad either.

Tier 1 Smite Skins Ranked [Top 12]

1 /12

Ares - Destroyer

Clad in black iron, the best Guardian in Smite marches on into battle. This skin can easily be counted a few skin tiers higher, and it's easily the best tier 1 Smite skin ever released.

Ares Destroyer

There's just something so imposing about seeing Ares in a fully-black suit of armor that is so appealing. This skin has no new visual effects, and it doesn't give him a unique voice pack, but still, it feels so cool seeing him with a different theme than his usual self.

2 /12

Bellona - Battle Maiden

Bellona's Battle Maiden skin proves that recolors can be cool, even if they are just a slight alteration.

Bellona Battle Maiden

Bellona generally tends to have a lot of cool minimalistic skins, which is something I really like about her. Just take a look at her tier 3 skin and you'll see what I mean. The Battle Maiden skin changes Bellona's hair color and slightly alters her equipment. Just enough to make her feel fresh while retaining the features that make her iconic.

3 /12

Chaac - Hailstorm

I don't like Chaac all that much. But even I will agree that his Hailstorm skin is eye-wateringly beautiful. As such, I'd count it a few skin tiers higher.

Chaac Hailstorm

It alters Chaac's regular appearance by making his skin a different color and giving him tattoos in the process. Additionally, it also changes the color of his equipment to a more golden-obsidian look. As far as recolors are concerned, this one is superb and definitely worth the Gems.

4 /12

Geb - Molten Fury

Geb is usually seen as a pretty chill God. With the Molten Fury skin, he is the exact opposite.

Geb Molten Fury

Frankly, I'd go so far as to claim that this skin is Tier 2 worthy, especially if we compare it to the other Tier 2 skins in Smite. It alters Geb's usual "rocky" appearance into a volcanic golem. It even gives him a small volcano that spews lava out of his shoulder. In short, this skin proves that Tier 1 skins are leagues better than the default skins.

5 /12

Hades - Bloodfire

Here's a skin that the developers forgot existed. A real shame, since it's one of the best Tier 1 skins in Smite. I just wish it had a custom voice pack.

Hades Bloodfire

The Bloodfire skin gives Hades a demonic red color and an ominous mist. Now, you might also have noticed that it isn't just a recolor. That's because this skin still uses Hade's old model, from way back in the day. Something that a new player might not pick up on. And honestly, of all of Hades's different versions, this one was probably my favorite. That is why I consider him one of the best Mages in Smite, and my personal favorite.

6 /12

Kukulkan - Typhoon

Kukulkan's Typhoon skin is a recolor, that's true. However, as far as recolors are concerned, it's absolutely exceptional. I'd say that it's even better than his birthday celebration event skin, but hey that's just me.

Kukulkan Typhoon

It changes Kukulkan's regular blue look into a more earthy brown color reminiscent of an adder. Sadly, his ability effects remain the same. But hey, it's a Tier 1 skin, what do you expect? For the cost of 100 Gems, it's just a little bit better than his regular form, which is all that you can ask from a Tier 1 skin.

7 /12

Nemesis - No Mercy

If you were to compare Nemesis' regular skin with this one, there's simply no draw. This skin is outright better.

Nemesis No Mercy

This skin makes Nemesis' character more mysterious by giving her equipment a black and red coloring. Make no mistake, she's here to kill her enemies, and she'll do so with ruthless efficiency. Honestly, I'd prefer if this was Nemesis's default skin. She'd look much better that way. People would be fighting to lock her in every match, which kind of already happens since she is one of the best Assassins in Smite.

8 /12

Poseidon - The Earthshaker

Now this is how a God is supposed to look. It's so good that it's comparable to some limited skins.

Poseidon The Earthshaker

This skin doesn't change your abilities, it doesn't change your ultimate, and it doesn't give you new visual effects. Still, in my opinion, it's one of the coolest Tier 1 skins in Smite. The reason I believe that is because this is how I imagine Poseidon to look like in real life. The regular skin is a bit goofy looking, but this. This is how a God should look like. Imposing, majestic, eloquent, and sublime, all at the same time.

9 /12

Agni - Incinerator

Remember as kids when movies made us think that blue fire was hotter than red fire? Yeah, those were the times.

Agni Incinerator

Agni's Incinerator skin does just that. It substitutes his volcanic red glow with an infernal blue color. It doesn't do much, but at least it's fun and fun is what we're all after at the end of the day. Plus, it comes out better in promotional images. But hey, that's just my opinion.

10 /12

Anhur - Jungle King

If you're a fan of big cats, you'll absolutely love this skin.

Anhur Jungle King

Jungle King turns Anhur into a black panther straight out of the jungle. It's simple, but I just love the idea behind it. It's regrettable then that in recent patches, Anhur isn't really one of the best Hunters in Smite anymore. Still, his skins are cool at least, which is a nice caveat, albeit a bittersweet one. I just wish we saw him in competitive conquest some more, rather than just custom games.

11 /12

Charon - Grim Ferryman

The ferryman cometh. This time, with all new drip, and some exclusive skins as well.

Charon Grim Ferrryman

It's worth mentioning that Charon is the newest God in Smite, as he came with the last Smite update. His regular skin is good, however, his Tier 1 skin is simply better. It's pure quality, everything from his white robes to his golden belt, to the new paint on his boat. Sadly, he doesn't get any new visual effects, but hey, with the style he's packing, he doesn't need it.

12 /12

Cliodhna - Banshee Queen

Cliodhna's regular skin is good. This one is better, and that's a fact.

Cliodhna Banshee Queen

The reason I love this skin so much is because it reminds me of an entity you'd see in the world of The Witcher. Now, even though Celtic and Slavic mythology are completely different, it's nice to see that they share some similarities. Like the fact that strange floating women in red dresses should be avoided at all times. So if you see Cliodhna in a match, turn the other way and walk away.
