Nemesis - Red Vengeance
Red Vengeance is probably my favorite Tier 2 skin in Smite. Frankly, I'm surprised that it isn't considered a Tier 3 Smite skin, but hey, what do I know about game design?
The reason I love the Red Vengeance skin so much is because it reminds me of Jetstream Sam from Metal Gear Revengeance, probably one of the best action-adventure games of all time. What's more, unlike other Tier 2 skins, this one isn't just a recolor. A claim that not every Tier 2 skin can make.
Cu Chulainn - Bruiser
Can you see the words written in my face?
I'm a stinker for wrestling, as childish as some people may consider it. Cu Chulainn's Bruiser skin is the perfect reference to WWE's Sheamus, which is why I love it so much. It doesn't completely alter Cu Chulainn's appearance, just enough to get the point across. And if you love wrestling as much as I do, then you should definitely unlock this skin.
Raijin - Thunder's Roar
This one's another example of how broken Hi Rez Studios' rating system is.
Raijin's Thunder Roar skin is one voice pack away from being considered a tier 3 or maybe even a tier 4 skin. It almost completely changes Raijin's usual look and it even changes a few animations here and there. If you love playing as Raijin, then this skin is practically a must-have.
Vulcan - Warforged
Vulcan makes the finest quality tools, but he can equally make the finest quality weapons as well.
Warforged Vulcan is here to deliver the latter, armed to the teeth in an impressive piece of armor that's both indomitable and intimidating. This skin is obtainable for a meager 250 gems. If you're willing to part with that amount, you'll definitely get your money's worth.
Sylvanus - Deathcap
If you're a fan of Super Mario or mushrooms in general, this one should be interesting to you.
Deathcap Sylvanus is far from a recolor, as it changes almost every aspect of his usual model. Sylvanus' friend is now a fungus, and even Sylvanus' model has been altered to be a mushroom. It's a silly skin befitting the goofy nature of one of the best Guardians in Smite. Classic Sylvanus!
Chiron - Chevalier
Chiron is many things. A teacher, a leader, a healer. And, when the time comes, he is also a knight in shining armor.
This skin also comes with some new visual effects, quite minor, but worth mentioning at least. It also gives him a blue glow for some reason. Why blue? I have no idea. Still, it looks cool. I love Chiron, he's one of the cooler Hunters design-wise. And, depending on the Season, one of the best Hunters in Smite as well. Don't play him naked, get this skin!
Kuzenbo - Honorbound
Kuzenbo's Honorbound skin is so cool that I'm pretty sure it even increases his effectiveness... In a metaphorical sense, you know? Still. It's a cool skin. I'd definitely put it a few skin tiers higher.
It transforms our beloved Kuzenbo into an ironclad samurai warrior, able to reach any foe and overcome any obstacle. Both your allies and your enemies will consider you the coolest person in the match if you have this skin, as they rightfully should. Frankly, I'm surprised that this skin isn't one of the event exclusives skins, and I'm glad it isn't.
Nike - Harbinger
If you got tired of playing Nike with her regular old boring skin, why not try a different theme for what is practically the same skin?
The thing that I really like about this skin is that it completely changes Nike's presentation. It isn't just a simple recolor from bright to dim colors, it practically turns Nike into a different God. Another cool thing that it does is that it slightly alters her jump animation with new visual effects. Which is pretty cool in my opinion.
Ratatoskr - Armored Scurrier
Rattatoskr's Armored Scurrier skin is a good example of how companies psychologically manipulate us. How am I to resist grabbing my waller and heading directly to the store when he's this cute?
Cuteness sells, and that's an absolute fact. This skin reminds me of one of those cute Instagram reels where people dress up their pets in silly costumes. I simply cannot continue like this. I have to go to the in-game store and grab him later. Some things simply can't wait.
Hou Yi - Searing Sun
Let's be honest for a second. Hou Yi's default skin kind of makes him look like a male stripper. Sure, he might be one of the prettiest Smite Gods, but that doesn't give him the right to dress so scantily.
The Searing Sun skin amends that and gives him a suit of armor befitting a God of his stature. Frankly, I'm bummed that this skin isn't free. Note the beautiful engravings that are present on each part of his armor. A description of this armor with normal words is simply impossible. It radiates elegance and sophistication... much better than what he previously had, that's for sure.
Ao Kuang - Dragon King
The envy of every player, Ao Kuang's Dragon King skin. Why does every player cover it though?
Just look at it, it radiates elegance and grandeur. There's a reason Ao Kuang is considered one of the best Mages in Smite, regardless of the Season. The Dragon King skin adorns Ao Kuang with the finest regalia available and makes his model a pure joy to look at. If any model deserves to be preserved in a museum, it's this one.
Vamana - Rakshasa
This Tier 2 skin is arguably one of the most unique skins that Vamana has. That's wonderful, as, in the past, Vamana was known for having some of the most lackluster skins in the game.
Vamana's Rakshasa skin transforms Vamana into a demon that I guarantee will send chills down the enemy's spine. It's a shame that it doesn't have a custom voice pack, as it can easily move up a Tier if it did. It's dark, it's mysterious, and it's definitely worth the price.
