How to easily view hours played in World of Tanks

Wargaming's first game was the World of Tanks, a massively multiplayer online game, a tank-shooter that rose to epic highs and stayed there for a long time. Even today, WoT has a huge player base, many subscribers, and new faces are coming into the game every day. This game is available for most of the major consoles and PC. Let's see how to check playtime World of Tanks!

How to calculate your actual playtime in World of Tanks

The methods below show the overall length when the game process runs. This includes the time you waited in the lobby, customized your vehicles, applied upgrades, or browsed the store. And frankly, that's not what you are interested in. Unfortunately, the game launcher app of wargaming doesn't feature this kind of statistics.

To find out how many hours you've PLAYED the game, you need to know two things: the number of matches played and the average length of a battle.

  1. Go to the official World of Tanks EU player stats page to find out how many games you've played. A similar page is also available for all your Wargaming games.
  2. Enter your username and click on search.
  3. The statistics page shows the battles you've played in the different game modes.
  4. The next step is easy: multiply your matches played by 7 minutes (this is the "universal" average battle length), and you have your actual PVP game time for World of Tanks.

How to view your hours played in World of Tanks using Steam Game overlay

When in the game, you can view your hours of play quite quickly because Steam has an in-game overlay that shows the actual session's length and overall game time. Here is how you can view this information in the game:

  1. Launch the game.
  2. Press Shift+Tab on your keyboard
  3. The time played is located in the upper left area, under the clock.

How to view your hours played in WoT using Steam Launcher

World of Tanks is available in Valve's Steam game store, so it's relatively easy to determine how many hours and minutes you've spent in the game. It's not as accurate as some of the online statistics pages are because it measures the time the game process ran, including loading times, reloading the saves, and the time you've spent in the menu set up the game.
