We start off our list with an Icon that is no longer available in League of Legends but was quite easily gained. And yet, only a few select old-school League of Legends players are in possession of it.

It's the Honor Icon, denoting the players that played League of Legends before the honor system overhaul with integrity and class. Especially since it took getting honored by enemies as much as allies.

Whether it's a Challenger Icon, or one of the lower-ranked summoner icons, old ranked Icons definitely count towards prestige and showing off. After all it shows the journey an account took to get to the rank they are at now.

One of the trends Riot are employing is removing old game modes that did not have a lot of popularity. And Dominion was the most unique of all as it was the only PvE game mode in League of Legends.

Speaking of the rarest Icons in League of Legends, especially ones gained in a temporary game mode, whose rotation is unlike the frequent URF return timing, we have the Perfect Ascension Icon. A game mode that has not been seen for a few years now, and will likely never return with Riot's policy on game modes.

League of Legends eSports is the biggest eSport in the world, currently. But it was not always the case, and possessing the Season Two Championship Icon shows that the player in question is one of the day-one fans of this game's professional scene, who watched the best LoL esports players of that era.

Exclusive events before 2012 spawned things such as a Legacy Icon, or skin. However, Riot Games would later go on to re-add these to new events, lowering their rarity and upsetting the original fans who brought them when they had only just came out.
