Best Nidalee Skins | LoL

Nidalee is a champion that was released just two months after the official launch of League of Legends and was the second champion to be released. As Nidalee is a shapeshifting Bestial Huntress, her forms in-game are numerous, and because of that, we bring our pick of the best ones.

Challenger Nidalee

The first skin on our list is one that only the true mains of Nidalee own. This skin was given out during the World Finals, or Mid-season Invitational, as a way to commemorate the epic battles that marked the season. Challenger Nidalee was released on January 14, 2016, and is a Legacy-rated skin, and as such can only be purchased with the opening of the Legacy Vault.

1

Challenger Nidalee has one single chroma, which is golden in color. It’s worth pointing out that this chroma can no longer be acquired, so if you see someone in your game with it, be advised that your jungle will be stalked by a master huntress.

2

Challenger Nidalee is an update to the champion lore itself. No longer is Nidalee a simple huntress protecting her territory, but the Queen of the Jungle, one that rules her domain alongside her spiritual cougar companions. The skin updates Nidalee’s animations, sounds, and gives her abilities, in both her human and cougar form, new particle effects, which are very, very pink.

Warring Kingdoms Nidalee

Riot truly does love taking inspiration from Chinese history and mythology. The Warring Kingdom series of skins, including the Warring Kingdom Nidalee skin, is taking heavy inspiration from the Warring Kingdoms era of Chinese history, and it works very well, in this case.

3

The skin was released on February 10, 2015, and is priced at 975 RP. With this, mid-range price, Warring Kingdoms Nidalee gets limited new animations, sounds, and particle effects.

4

The model and the splash art themselves are worth the price in our opinion, however. Warring Kingdoms Nidalee gives the character an air of a civilized femme fatale, that knows her worth and can still skewer you with her javelin from a hundred paces away.

Headhunter Nidalee

Who is Nidalee, where has she come from, and what is her connection to Rengar’s Kiilash tribe?

All of these questions, and more, are explored by the Headhunter Nidalee skin. Released in 2130, on March 20, this skin moves Nidalee away from her life in the jungle and puts her shapeshifting abilities, and deadly javelin toss, to use hunting what needs to be hunted down.

5

As expected of a skin priced at 975 RP, it brings changes that encompass all of her design, but cannot compare to those of the skins in the 1350 RP range.

However, her cougar form is what makes this skin worthy of our list. Nidalee’s ultimate gives makes her take on the form of the Alien in direct opposition of Regnar’s Predator, the same way Kha’Zix is intended.

6

Headhunter Nidalee tells us a story of what would happen if she was not abandoned in a jungle and raised by cougars, but rather, the story of her life with professional hunters training her from birth to use her capabilities, with the hunters in question being the Kiilash, implicitly.
