Poppy is a champion with a weapon as big as her reputation, despite her size being a bit contrary to both. Luckily, yordles don’t mind being small as long as they can achieve great things! We’re taking a look at the best Poppy skins LoL has made for this champion.
Star Guardian Poppy
The star guardian series is arguably the most popular skin line in League of Legends, being at the top of every skin tier list every year. It’s no wonder that Star Guardian Poppy makes the list considering this is also one of her most popular skins in the game. This skin was released on October 5, 2016 with a price of 1350RP.
There was a question of whether yordles can pull off being a Star Guardian and as you can see, she rocks the outfit just as well! She doesn’t look like a mascot but instead, feels like a legitimate member of the team. This skin has a really nice splash art and the character model is just as dazzling in-game.
The star guardian series is always so bright and colorful which is the main selling point of this skin. Unfortunately for this star guardian skin, you can’t choose between multiple chromas or a prestige edition to customize it more to your liking.
Battle Regalia Poppy
Battle Regalia Poppy is one of the coolest skins in her set. The skin gives her a fresh set of armor that makes her look like a true Paladin of justice. This skin was the first one to be given to this champion but age has only given it more personality. The released date was on March 15, 2011 and is priced at 520RP.
Even though it’s a really cheap skin, the value of this cosmetic comes with the fact that you can purchase various chromas. While the default version of Battle Regalia Poppy may look a bit generic, buying a chroma will definitely make it look like it should be worth a lot higher than its price. It’s really cool and should be at the top of the list when searching for the best Poppy skins LoL offers for this champ.
Even though skins like Scarlet Hammer Poppy, Noxus Poppy, and Blacksmith Poppy are all more expensive. The Battle Regalia series tops them all with its simplistic design and the ability to customize it to your liking. It’s not too edgy and doesn’t try too hard to be something that doesn’t really fit the character design.
This is one of the new skins in Poppy’s wardrobe being only released recently, October 7, 2021. The design adds a fresh look to Poppy that avoids the traditional hammer-wielding knight trope designs, such as Scarlet Hammer and Noxus Poppy, that Riot Games seems to push on this champion. You can buy this for only 1350RP.
The atmosphere of the skin is really refreshing and gives her more personality as a champion. Players who are tired of looking at a hammer-wielding yordle all the time will definitely like the change that this cosmetic gives with the pumpkin bonking witch design. It’s also an awesome skin to use during the Halloween season!
Keep in mind that this is a seasonal skin, similar to her Snow Fawn Poppy skin, and may not be part of your region’s skin store. You may still acquire it from Hextech chests or other loot boxes but you’ll most likely need to buy it during the Halloween season. Try to grab it as soon as it becomes available and don’t convert it into orange essence if a shard happens to drop into your loot!
Players that want Poppy to look cool and intimidating will want the Hextech Poppy skin. The skin overtook both Scarlet Hammer and Noxus Poppy as the most vicious-looking skin on her list. Just like Hextech Swain and other Hextech skins, this is a craftable cosmetic that can be acquired by trading in 10 gemstones and can’t be purchased any other way. It was released on July 23, 2018.
The Hextech series is such an exclusive set that simply owning one is absolutely impressive regardless of its design. In Poppy’s case, the design is just as stunning as its overall rarity. The crystals are the highlight of this skin since it gives the in-game model a huge spotlight. Her face also looks incredibly fierce which is a huge improvement because she looks a little derp-y in most of her other in-game skin models.
Once you own this skin, you’ll probably use it for almost 90% of your Poppy playtime sessions because of how great it looks. There is only a handful of League of Legends champions that can really rock this look and Poppy is definitely a frontrunner for those on the list. If you want to get this skin, it’s time to start saving up gemstones, that you can get from opening Hextech Boxes.
Poppy is only one of many destined warriors in League of Legends. One of those being Pantheon, who rejected the gods of Runeterra and swore to forge his own path. Check out his lineup of Pantheon skins and let us know if you find something that you really like!
If there’s something that Riot Games is good at making us spend our money on, it’s definitely skins and other cosmetics. Take a look at some of the best League of Legends skins that we think are worth buying for your favorite champions!
