Ampharos is a popular Pokemon with a whole lot of fans in the franchise. This Pokemon was introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver but has seen wide availability in other Pokémon games.

Ampharos is a pure Electric Pokémon that's one of the best counters to Flying types since it's only got one weakness, Ground type.

Ampharos has great access to Electric moves, but it can use Ice type moves like Ice Punch, as well as Rock type moves like Power Gem, to hit every last one of the Flying type Pokémon weaknesses!

This makes Ampharos a real powerhouse when it comes to fighting against Flying types.

Ampharos can even Mega Evolve into the strong and fabulous Mega Ampharos, where it gains the Dragon type. Ampharos's many advantages make it the best counter to Flying types.

A Rock and Ice type fossil Pokémon, Aurorus has an elegant and beautiful design. Featuring two of Flying type's biggest weaknesses, Aurorus is a great choice.

Its main downside is that it has a quadruple weakness to Fighting type moves, making it an unsuitable choice against some Flying type Pokémon with good coverage options, like Staraptor.

Or dual type Pokémon like Hawlucha!

But Aurorus gets good access to all three of Flying type's weaknesses, making it a great choice for taking down Flying type Pokémon!

Using moves like Ice Beam, Ancient Power, and even Thunderbolt, Aurorus is built to take on Flying type Pokémon!

An Electric/Ice type Pokémon, Arctozolt has a unique design theme based around being an improperly put together fossil.

This is a Pokémon that simply shouldn't exist, but its useful typing of Electric/Ice means it's a perfect counter to Flying type Pokemon!

Not quite as unfortunate as fellow hybrid fossil Pokemon Dracovish, which is one of the ugliest Pokemon of all time, Arctozolt still looks unfortunate.

But despite this tragic design, Arctozolt has a great toolkit for taking on Flying type Pokémon. It can hit every one of the Flying type Pokémon weaknesses, getting a range of Ice and Electric type moves as well as Rock type options like Rock Blast and Stone Edge.

Mustachioed and distinguished, Alolan Golem is the Alolan regional variant form of Golem. It's a dual Rock and Electric type Pokémon, meaning it gets good access to a whole range of moves that are super effective against Flying type Pokémon.

Alolan Golem has a double resistance to Flying type moves, and coupled with its rock-solid Defense stat, Alolan Golem is an effective tank.

Its high Attack stat lets it make great use of powerful Rock type attacks like Stone Edge or Rock Slide, while also getting access to Electric moves like Thunder Punch and Wild Charge.

Alolan Golem is a good option despite being a trade evolution.

A big part of Pokémon Violet, Miraidon is a constant companion to players as it serves as a ride Pokemon in game. But at the end of the main story players can use it in battle, too!

Miraidon has all around fantastic stats to go with its sleek futuristic design, and excels with Special attacks, making it an easy choice for many teams.

With access to a great range of Electric moves, as well as Rock moves like the powerful Special move, Power Gem, Miraidon can hunt Flying type Pokémon with the best of them!

With its flexible movepool Miraidon has good utility in a range of situations.

An Electric and Steel type Pokémon, Magnezone has great resistance to Flying type attacks while having a toolkit that lets it deal double damage.

With its high Special Attack stat Magnezone excels with Special Electric type attacks like Discharge and Thunderbolt.

Its robotic UFO design theme makes it stand out from the opposition too! Its immunity to Poison type makes it a good option for dealing with dual type Pokémon like Crobat.

Against Flying type Pokémon Aggron is a powerful and effective option to go with its shiny metal dinosaur look.

Aggron has a double resistance to Flying type moves, which paired with its super high Defense means it can really take a hit.

But Aggron is a great choice because it can hit Flying types for double damage using all of the Flying type weaknesses.

Its flexible movepool sees it get Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, and a range of Rock moves, giving it a fantastic toolkit when it comes to taking down Flying types.

It's also one of the best Pokemon to use against Ice type Pokémon, too!

A powerful physical attacker, Luxray gets good access to Electric and Ice moves to take on Flying types.

As a pure Electric Pokémon Luxray only has one weakness, to Ground type moves, making it a good option to use against Flying types.

Luxray gets Wild Charge to make great use of its Attack stat, as well as Volt Switch in case it ends up in battle against too dangerous a foe.

Along with many great coverage options of other Pokémon types to hit some of the weaknesses of dual Flying types!

Eelektross is a good option against most Flying type Pokémon since it's a pure Electric Pokemon whose Ability Levitate gives it an immunity to Ground type moves, eliminating Electric's only weakness.

Eelektross is a great choice too because it has a good range of Electric and Rock moves, allowing it to hit Flying type Pokemon for two of the Flying type weaknesses, although it only gets STAB for the Electric moves.

Still, Eelektross is a solid option and it's made a bit of a comeback in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet after its absence from Pokémon games.
