How To Copy Discord Stickers [Step-by-Step]

In this article, I’ll show you a working method to “steal” a sticker from another server and upload it to your own! This is the only way you can use stickers from other servers without Discord Nitro, so here is a step by step guide on how the method works:

1 /5

Open Discord On Your Browser

On Discord, you cannot simply right-click a sticker and save the file like you normally could in your browser. So, the key to copying stickers is using the Inspect Element for Discord. The Inspect Element does not exist in the Discord application, so you must open the Web version of Discord on your browser.

Once you’ve opened Discord on the browser, go to the text channel where the sticker you want to copy can be found.

Open The Inspect Element

Now that you see the sticker on your browser, the next step is to open the Inspect Element. To do this, hold Ctrl + Shift + C. This combination of keys will work on any browser

On the right side of your screen, a menu will pop up with loads of codes. Seeing this for the first time can confuse you, but trust me, it’s not that complicated.

Locate The Source File Of The Sticker

Alright, so now you have the Inspect Element menu open. Next, all you need to do is click on the sticker. You will notice that the sticker is surrounded by a box when you hover your cursor on it. If you’re seeing the box, then you’re on the right track.

Highlighted Element

Clicking on the sticker will highlight the element in the Inspect Element menu. In the highlighted element, you will notice a URL link starting with https://cdn.discordapp.com.

Open The Source File And Save It

Now that you’ve seen the Discord URL link, right-click the link and press Open in the new tab. A new browser window will open with the sticker’s source file opened.

The next thing you will do is save the file. All you need to do is right-click the file and press Save Image As. Once completed, the file will be downloaded to your computer.

Convert The File To PNG

Unfortunately, there are more steps to follow. The file will be downloaded in WEBP format, which isn’t the file format we need. So, we will convert the WEBP to an image format such as PNG.

The good news is it’s incredibly easy. Go on your search engine and type in “convert WEBP to PNG”. There are a lot of websites that offer this service for free.

On most of the websites, you just need to upload the WEBP file and click convert to PNG. If successful, you will have the PNG file downloaded into your computer.

Upload The Sticker To Your Own Server

Now that we have the file in PNG format, we can finally make the picture a sticker on Discord. To use the file for yourself, you need to add the sticker to your own Discord server or a server you have Admin access in.

To do this, go to Server Settings > Stickers > Upload Sticker.

Uploading Sticker

Upload the file, and follow all the instructions to create the sticker. Once everything is completed, you can send the sticker to your server and also use the sticker on other servers if you have a Discord Nitro subscription!
