How To Get The 6th Builder In Clash Of Clans (Updated)

In this article, we’ll give you our seven-step guide on unlocking the sixth builder and speeding up your progression!

To complete all the tasks, you must have at least a Town Hall level of 10 and a Builder Hall level of 9! Unlocking the sixth builder is not available to beginners in Clash of Clans.

Build the B.O.B Control Building

This task will require Builder Base Gold.

The first step of this long process to get your sixth builder is to build the B.O.B Control building, which can be found in the Builder Base.

You will have access to the B.O.B Control building once you have reached Builder Hall level 9. The building costs 100,000 Builder Base Gold and has an instant build time.

Once you check out the B.O.B Control building, you will notice that upgrading the building won’t cost you gold but will require you to complete a set of tasks. These tasks will be discussed in the following steps, so stay tuned!

Gear Up A Cannon, Archer Tower, And Mortar

This task will require Home Village Gold.

The first B.O.B upgrade requirement we have to fulfill is Gearing Up three buildings in our Home Village, not the Builder Base.

The three buildings you will have to Gear Up are:

Cannon

Here are the requirements you will need to complete to gear up your Cannon:

Archer Tower

Here are the requirements you will need to complete to gear up your Archer Tower:

In order to complete these requirements, you will need a minimum Home Village Archer Tower level of 10 (accessible at Town Hall 8), and a minimum Builder Base Double Cannon level of 6 (accessible at Builder Hall 6).

Mortar

Here are the requirements you will need to complete to gear up your Mortar:

In order to complete these requirements, you will need a minimum Home Village Mortar level of 8 (accessible at Town Hall 10), and a minimum Builder Multi Mortar level of 8 (accessible at Builder Hall 8).

You'll need a hefty sum of gold to get all of these buildings geared up, so be ready for that! After gearing up one of each of the defenses mentioned above, you will be able to upgrade your B.O.B Control building to the next level. Here is the next step you’ll have to go through!

Upgrade Any Builder Base Troop To Level 18

This task will require Builder Base Elixir.

To complete the second level of the B.O.B Control building, you will have to upgrade ANY Builder Base Troop to level 18.

The task of upgrading a troop to level 18 means that you have to be a consistent player of the Builder Base. You will need a Star Laboratory level of 9 to upgrade troops to level 18. A level 9 Star Laboratory can be accessed once you’ve reached Builder Hall level 9, so there are no shortcuts you can take.

We recommend focusing on your Baby Dragons, as having an entire army of them can be enough to get you some wins in your Builder Battles. By focusing on a single troop type, you can pool all your Builder Base Elixir on that one troop and help it reach level 18 quickly.

When you’ve upgraded any Builder Base troop to level 18, you will be able to upgrade your B.O.B Control building to the next level.

Upgrade Any Builder Hut Defense To Level 9

This task will require Builder Base Gold.

The third task is arguably the easiest of them all and will only require you to upgrade ANY Builder Hut defense building to level 9.

Once you’ve succeeded, you can move on to the final requirement for a maxed-out B.O.B Control building.

Upgrade Your Builder Base Heroes To A Combined Level Of 45

This task will require Builder Base Elixir.

The final task is to achieve a combined level of 45 of your Builder Base heroes.

There are two Builder Base heroes available at Builder Hall 9, the Battle Machine and the Battle Copter. When you add up the levels of your respective heroes, you will need a total result above 45.

This may sound like a tedious task, but keep in mind that your Battle Copter will already start at level 15 when you first build it! Your Battle Copter starting at level 15 means that you already have completed 15 levels out of the 45, pretty much for free.

Since you’re only looking for combined levels, you can have your Battle Machine at level 25 and upgrade your Battle Copter 5 times to make it level 20, and you’ll already have enough combined levels to complete the B.O.B building.

Upgrade Your B.O.B Control Building To Level 5

If you have met all the requirements covered previously, you can finally upgrade your B.O.B Control building to level 5. Upgrading the building won’t cost you any gold; you’ll just have to click the Upgrade buttonand click it all the way to level 5.

You can upgrade the B.O.B Control four times in a row when you’ve completed all the tasks; you don’t have to do it after completing every task.

Build Your Master Builder Hut In Your Home Village

Once you’ve upgraded your B.O.B Control building to level 5, you can go back to your Home Village to see that you have an unplaced building. You guessed it right, this “unplaced building” is your sixth Builder Hut!

You can send your new builder back to the Builder Base and back to your Home Village whenever you want by pressing the “Travel” button ! You can either have two builders in your Builder Base or six builders in your Home Village, assuming you’ve already purchased all five builders with gems.
