Epic Games allows Fortnite players to access custom matchmaking in any popular game mode, including Fortnite Battle Royale or Fortnite Creative. Also, creating Fortnite private lobbies is easy! Let’s check out how to create a custom game in Fortnite Battle Royale:

  1. Make sure everyone is in the same matchmaking region. You will get an error if anyone is not in the same matchmaking region.
  2. Select your desired Fortnite Battle Royale game mode (Solos, Duos, Trios, or Squads).
  3. In the Fortnite game mode selection menu select Custom Key in the bottom right.
  4. Create a Fortnite Custom Matchmaking Key.
  5. Give your Fortnite friends your custom matchmaking code, and start your game!

Like a creator code, the custom matchmaking key is between 4 and 16 characters long, and it can not include any custom characters.
