If you're running into the dreaded Error message 2618, it definitely is a bummer as it prevents players from entering the game. Here is why it happens and what you can do about Tower of Fantasy error message 2618.

Level infinite's error 2618 in TOF is notorious.

Why Error Code 2618 Happens

Error 2618 in Tower of Fantasy means a server is too full and you aren't able to be queued for log in. The official twitter of Tower of Fantasy has also clarified as much.

Official Twitter of TOF states why Error Code 2618 occurs.

A server in ToF can only hold 3000 players in queue. So if you happen to queue beyond the server's limit, this error message will appear as a result of server issues.

Solution 1: Spam-Queueing by clicking OK

You can spam queue by clicking OK every time you get this error message. By doing so, you maximize the chances of getting past the login clog and joining the waiting queue. Most of the time, this is the preferred method as it's simple to do, without making drastic changes to your account and schedule.

Spam click OK whenever you get the 2618 error code in TOF.

Solution 2: Queue at other time of day

Tower of Fantasy can get crowded during events, especially if you're playing on a highly populated server. However, there are hours you can attempt to login without facing long queues, try to avoid times a lot of people are off work or back from school.

Solution 3: Select a less crowded server to create a new game

Nobody likes to start over in new games for MMOs, especially if they've already made ample progress or spent money on their account. The sad reality in Tower of Fantasy is, there is no current method of carrying over your character from a server to another. So we only recommend this method for players with a low level character under 24 or 27. Any character under level 24 can be considered low level, as it only takes 2 days to get back to that level according to our level cap chart; 3 days for level 27.

TOF new game means starting a new character.

To choose a better preferred server to play on, you should select a server for the country you're currently residing OR will be be residing in for the long term. That way, you'll be able to continue your adventure without long queue time or high ping.

Step by step instructions for deciding your chosen server:

  1. Go to the game's default login screen.
  2. Tap on 'Select Server' button. Don't click anywhere else as it'll place you into login queues for your current server.
  3. On the left sidebar, pick the region you're currently or will be residing in.
  4. Select a server with a smooth rating, as indicated by the green icon.

Just remember to avoid joining any server with a red icon (indicates Queue mode) and you should be fine. Sadly, there is no way to predict whether a server will become crowded in the future, which leads us to solution 4.

Solution 4: Wait for Game Updates to expand Server Limits

The final solution is to wait for Tower of Fantasy developers to expand the Queue Limit and Server size. With planned releases on Steam and Epic Games in the works, one can anticipate an influx of players into Tower of Fantasy.

Wait for the devs Hotta Game Studios to implement server upgrades!

Hopefully, the team behind Tower of Fantasy has made the proper preparations to accommodate for this new player base; resulting in improved servers. If you still wish to play using a workaround and if solution 3 didn't work - you could try joining another different region. Here's how you can decide which is the next best region for you in Tower of Fantasy.
