How To Change Your Valorant Password? [Step By Step Guide]

Did you just buy a new Valorant account? To change your Valorant password, you must have access to the email address that is linked to the account!

Go To The Official Riot Games Website

To recover your password and change it to another, the first step is to go to the official Riot Games recovery page. You can go there by clicking on this link.

Click Recover Password

After you’ve opened the Riot Games website, scroll down to “Account Recovery Tool” and click “Recover Password”.

Enter Your Riot Username

You will be redirected to the Riot Account Recovery website. You will be asked to enter your Riot username on the right side of your screen. This is the username that you sign into Valorant with. 

Do not confuse this with your Valorant Riot ID, which is an entirely different thing!

Check Your Email Address And Click On The Link

After entering your username, Riot will show a message in purple. If your username matches with an existing account, Riot will send a password reset email instantly. In case you don’t see the email, check your spam folder!

Once you have received the email, open it to see if your Riot username matches the one you entered. If everything is good, click on the link attached to the email.

Change Your Password

You will be brought back to the Riot Account Recovery website, where you can enter a new password. This time, make sure the password is strong and easy to remember to keep your account secure.

Enter the new password and type it a second time to confirm. Once completed, click the Arrow icon to go to the next step.

All Done!

If you have successfully entered a new password, Riot will confirm that your password has been changed. Take note of your new password, but remember that you can change your password as many times as you want in the future! 

Once your password is changed, restart the Valorant client and enter your new password. You can also go through the same procedure to change your League of Legends account password!
