How to Fix Apex Legends Not Loading Into Lobby Bug [8 Ways]

1 /8

Check Apex Legends' Server Status

We've talked about this previously but, most if not all of the error codes in Apex Legends can be fixed by simply checking the status of the servers.

Apex Server status

Well. "Fixed" is a bit of a strong term. What you're actually doing by checking the server status is seeing if it's even possible to have a game of Apex or not. If the servers are down, then it's practically impossible to get into the main menu, and never mind a match.

This tip also applies if you're experiencing the "Apex Legends not loading into match" error message. Just something to keep in mind.

Update the Game

It isn't unheard of for the game to get an update while you're in the middle of a match. In that case, updating the game files is the only way to resolve any issues you may have.

To do this is really easy. All you have to do is to quit the game, and Steam will do the rest for you. Or the Origin client, or the EA App, or just about any client that hosts Apex Legends for that matter.

After you've installed the new patches, you should be able to get into the lobby again without experiencing any problems. Happy hunting!

Verify The Integrity of the Game Files

Sadly, the fact of the matter is that sometimes files get corrupted. Thankfully, since Apex Legends is a multiplayer-only game, you don't lose any saved games... or items, god forbid.

Verify Integrity

Still, even if you don't lose some of the best skins in Apex Legends, it's still frustrating not being able to play your favorite game. Nobody likes login errors, so here's one way of fixing them.

Steam users should head on into their game library and locate Apex Legends. Once you've done that, go to properties and locate Installed Files. After that, simply verify the integrity of the game files and wait for Steam to do its magic. This should resolve any subsequent login issues.

Reinstall Easy Anti-Cheat

If verifying the game's files is fixing the problem with a messdriver, then reinstalling Easy Anti-Cheat is fixing the problem with a hammer.

Easy Anti-Cheat Reinstall

Occasionally, in multiplayer games, the anti-cheat engine gets corrupted and needs to be reinstalled. The same applies to Apex's very own Easy Anti-Cheat. To return Easy Anti-Cheat to normal functions again, do the following steps.

  1. Locate Easy Anti-Cheat in the game's directory. I.e. its local files. The path should look something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Apex Legends\EasyAntiCheat
  2. Right click and run Easy AntiCheat_Setup as an Administrator. It is absolutely imperative and should not be skipped.
  3. Wait for the program to do its thing.
  4. Restart your computer.

After the restart, you should be able to play the game again. Errors begone! However, if any error persists, no matter how many fixes you implement. Contact Respawn directly. Since the game developers broke the game, they can fix it!

Your Software is Missing an Update

This one is the least obvious troublemaker, which is why it's so hard to distinguish it in the first place.

Drivers App

Lacking the proper drivers can be one of the most frustrating reasons for an error to appear. A simple restart should fix the problem, but what if it doesn't? What if restarting your computer does nothing more than waste your time? In that case, here's how to go about fixing your problems.

There's an easy way and a hard way. If you have Nvidia GeForce or AMD Adrenalin, it's super easy to update your drivers. All you have to do is launch the apps, locate the driver's tab, and click on Install latest drivers (It may not read like that specifically, but you get my point). After that, simply wait for the apps to do the job for you.

If however, you prefer to do things manually. Here's how to update your drivers manually.

  1. If you're on Windows, go to your search bar and type in Device Manager
  2. After that, right click the particular device you want to update and update its drivers.
  3. Your computer will begin searching the internet for the latest version of drivers. Don't disconnect your wi fi during this process or else it will fail.
  4. Once it's found the right drivers, it will begin installing them for you automatically.

The problem with this method is that it isn't always accurate. Which is why it's recommended to use the official apps instead.

6 /8

Check Your Internet Connection

This is quite silly, but it's more common than you might think.

Check your internet connection. Just do it! If Apex Legends is not connecting to the server, or if you are experiencing issues with getting into the main menu, it might be because you're disconnected. A disconnect is an easy oversight to miss, and it might be why you can't launch the game in the first place.

7 /8

Unplug Any Needless USBs

Even the best Apex controller players have experienced this at least once in the past.

Funnily enough, many users have reported this bug in the past. Nobody knows why it happens. It could be a Windows thing, or it could be an Apex thing. Who knows. One thing's for certain, however. If you're having trouble launching the game, I recommend you disconnect any needless USBs you might have plugged in.

After you've removed the USBs, you should be able to launch Apex Legends without a hitch.

8 /8

Switch to a Different Account

It's weird, but, for some reason, Apex Legends has account specific bugs.

Multiple users have reported in the past that they've experienced bugs on their primary account. But, once they log into their secondary account, the bugs disappear. This is extremely frustrating, especially if your main account is concerned.

Switching accounts is also a good way to wait out the Code Snake Error Code. Just don't do anything stupid that'll end up getting you banned.
