How To Get More Refund Tickets In Fortnite

There are tons of in-game skins in Fortnite, and most players have already tried buying the ones they like. Still, it is impossible to never feel buyer's remorse or accidental purchases throughout the years of playing. You might be wondering how to get refund tickets in Fortnite. Do not fret because it is straightforward and accessible. Here is a complete guide to getting more refund tickets in Fortnite Battle Royale.

What Are Refund Tickets?

Now, if you did not know it yet, refund tickets, from the word itself, are used to refund the cosmetics you bought in Fortnite Battle Royale. Every account is given three refund tickets for free, so players that have regretted their decision can easily refund the cosmetic.

You will get all the V-bucks that you spend when you use a refund ticket, so do not worry about hidden charges in these cases. In other words, these are used for free refunds in Fortnite Battle Royale. However, there are limitations to using a refund ticket but do not fret since everything will be discussed in the following sections.

How To Use Refund Tickets In Fortnite

Returning an item that any Fortnite player accidentally bought in the Fortnite item shop is now as easy as ever because of this feature that Epic Games added in Fortnite Battle Royale. Do not worry about anything because the process of using the refund tickets is pretty straightforward and accessible. After the 18.20 update during the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, players are now required to return an item by using the return request in the game's settings menu. Here are the complete steps to use the refund ticket to return a cosmetic item in Fortnite:

  1. Open Fortnite in your Epic Games library
  2. Once you are on the game's home screen, click on the three-rectangle stack on the upper left side of your screen.
  3. Click on the cogwheel with a three-rectangle stack on the bottom left of your screen and choose settings.
  4. Find the silhouette icon on the top part of your screen and choose to submit a request to start the refund process.
  5. You will now see the eligible items for a refund. Choose the cosmetic that you want to return.
  6. Choose the reason for the refund and finally click "Submit Return Request."
  7. There will be a prompt that you will be using a refund ticket for the item that you wish to return. Just click yes if you are sure of your choice.

Congratulations, you have successfully refunded the item you regret buying, and V-bucks are credited to your account. Remember, items that are purchased within the last 30 days are the only ones that are eligible for a refund. Also, an account is limited to three refund tickets, so you will not be able to refund every item that you bought.

As mentioned previously, the cosmetics that are eligible for a refund are limited. Here are the items that are returnable and non-returnable.

Will I Be Able To Get More Refund Tickets?

The good news is that you can receive tickets to refund skins for your accidental Fortnite purchases. After the launch of patch 18.20 during Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 8, Epic Games grants players ticket refreshes every 365 days, meaning they will get a single ticket after a year since their last return request.

Still, it is recommended to save refund tickets because a year is not a short time, especially if multiple skins are released by Epic Games month.

Are There Any More Ways To Get Refund Tickets For Free?

Unfortunately, there are no more official ways to get more refund tickets in Fortnite Battle Royale. Epic Games limited the refund tickets in purpose to prevent abusing the return option on the in-game cosmetics. Still, Epic Games provided three refund tickets per player, which is a lot already.

You can try leveling up the Free Pass to earn Fortnite free v-bucks so that you can buy more skins without refunding any of the cosmetics that you purchased. You can also check the skin out on Youtube before buying it to ensure that you really want it and not act on a whim.

Do Not Cheat Or Glitch The Refund Tickets

There are many videos and guides circulating online that provide instructions to glitch or cheat the refund tickets, including changing the date and time, typing codes in the home menu, and submitting tickets to activate glitches. Never do any of these because this will likely result in a ban or suspension of your account.

As a matter of fact, a famous YouTuber tried cheating the refund tickets, which resulted in a suspension of his account, and his yearly free refund tickets got locked, too. Follow all the rules of Epic Games to prevent future problems that you might face.

Now that you have learned all about refund tickets and how to use and obtain them, you can try using the process right away! Remember all the ineligible items for a refund, including the battle pass and weekly items. Purchases within 30 days will be the only available ones for a refund. Be sure on your next purchase to prevent using more refund tickets!
