  1. Launch Fortnite and open the settings.
  2. At the top of the screen, you'll find multiple icons. Go to 'controller settings'.
  3. Find the option that says, 'advanced sensitivity' and turn on the advanced options.
  4. Within the same section, go to 'aim assist strength' and set the setting to 100 percent. Once this is at 100, it's recommended not to turn it down again.
  5. Before leaving controller settings, play around with other FPS settings like sensitivity settings, screen adjustments, etc.
  6. Launch a Fortnite match and get to playing.

That said, it’s very important that you make sure you turn the strength up to between 80 and 100 percent. This can be done by going into Fortnite settings > controller options > advanced options > sensitivity > aim assist strength.

Check HUD Settings

Sometimes when you install a Fortnite update, the HUD settings get reset, causing aim assist to fail, so you have to go back into settings to fix it. Go into the settings in Fortnite, find the option title 'HUD', and click on it. Once that's done, try launching a match and seeing if aim assist is working again.

While aim assist definitely helps a lot with improving your aim in matches, some skill is still required to win battle royale matches.
