Best Leblanc Build Guide | Runes | Spells | Items in League of Legends

Leblanc has been subject to many reworks and changes over the years, but she finally seems in a stable position. In Patch 12.15 she has a very low 47.9% win rate, but with an increasing ban rate of 12.4%, this implies that she has a rule of, if you can’t beat her, ban her!

Leblanc players need the right setup to dominate, however, so we have for you the best of the Leblanc Mid Lane build guides out there for the Riot Games MOBA, with the Leblanc runes, the Leblanc build, and Leblanc’s matchups!

Best Leblanc Build

Best Leblanc Runes

First off, we will start with the best Leblanc Mid Lane rune build, which focuses on the Domination runes as a primary and the Sorcery tree as a secondary!

Best Slot 1 (Rune)

Taste of Blood

Manaflow Band

Best Slot 2 (Rune)

Eyeball Collection

Scorch

Best Slot 3 (Rune)

Treasure Hunter

Leblanc, like all assassins, wants to burst down and combo her enemies, so Electrocute as the keystone helps by giving extra damage after a 3-burst combo! Taste of Blood heals Leblance for damaging enemies, with a cooldwon fo 20 seconds.

Eyeball Collection is another stacking damage buff rune, and Treasure Hunter gives Leblanc bonus gold for the first kill on a unique enemy champion - up to 150 gold for the fifth!

Leblanc’s secondary is Sorcery, and Scorch helps her combo do more in the laning phase, by restoring her mana faster and Manaflow Band increasing her maximum mana means she has more sustainability.

With Leblanc’s main role to poke in lane, any extra damage helps, this is why +9 Adaptive Force is incredible on Flex, and extra Attack Speed for Offense means she can farm easier and proc her Electrocute. so Leblanc can dish out the damage! Magic Resist in Defense helps protect Leblanc and make her more durable.

Flash

Ignite

Hecarim and Shaco are two of the few champions that don’t use Flash, but Leblanc can use it to gap close even more. Using a Flash saves one of her W, Distortions for more damage!

Ignite is even more damage, and it is great with her kit, so she can easily one shot and get awesome fadeaway kills!

Best Leblanc Abilities Order

This is one of the most important parts, as you want to make sure you are leveling the right abilities at the right time! This is the best skill order for Leblanc’s abilities:

With your skill order, the main ability you want to prioritize is W, Distortion. This small AOE ability is your main damaging and gap closing tool in lane early game, and is the best ability to set up your combo with your Q, Sigil of Malice- which is what you level up afterward.

E, Ethereal Chains is left until last as it is mainly an added proc, and being a skillshot, it is less reliable damage. You should have Leblanc’s Ultimate Ability, Mimic leveled up at 6,12, and 16 so you can use your combo even more often!

Best Leblanc Items

Leblanc builds raw Ability Power items early on, so he can poke in lane.

Best Starter Leblanc Items

Second Item

Doran’s Ring

Two Health Potions

Doran’s Ring allows Leblanc to keep her mana up with its Drain passive, as well as farm easier with its Focus passive. The two Health Potions give more survivability and help Leblanc come out on top after a trade!

Best Mid Lane Game Leblanc Items

These are your core Leblanc items that you want to build towards first!

First Item

Second Item

Third Item

Luden’s Tempest

Sorcerer’s Shoes

Shadowflame

You build Lost Chapter first, with that being built into Luden’s Tempest as Leblanc’s mythic item. It gives some small AOE damage, as well as 80 AP, 6 Magic Penetration, 600 Mana, and 20 Ability Haste. Sorcerer’s Shoes second help exponentially, with 18 Magic Penetration getting through the first basic MR items. Ionian Boots of Lucidity are also an option!

Shadowflame is your first real damage item, with 100 Ability Power and 200 HP being a welcome addition. It also increases Magic Penetration too!

Best Final Late Game Leblanc Items

This is the final build that you want to aim toward when playing Leblanc.

Fourth Item

Fifth Item

Sixth Item

Luden’s Tempest

Sorcerer’s Shoes

Shadowflame

Zhonya’s Hourglass

Rabadon’s Deathcap

Void Staff

Leblanc then follows those three with some more damage items. Some assassins build survivability, such as Zed or Talon, but the only one that Leblanc builds is Zhonya’s Hourglass. Being quite weak to CC, the two seconds invulnerability is incredibly useful to stall when trying to assassinate a target. It also gives 65 AP, 45 Armor, and 10 Ability Haste.

Rabadon’s Deathcap is the big money item, with 120 AP and an increase of Magic Damage by 35%. This is followed by Void Staff, which adds 65 AP and another 40% Magic Penetration. You should melt Magic Resist items!

Akshan

Galio and Malzahar can both CC Leblanc instantly when she jumps on them, and with Galio’s built in Magic Resist shield, maybe leblanc isnt the best pick against either of the pair!

Akshan is simply too mobile, and can actually chase down Leblanc after she disengages, as she wants to jump in, do her damage and jump out, but Akshan doesn’t let the fight stop there!

Weakest Champions against Leblanc

Finally, we have the best League of Legends champions to play Leblanc into in patch 12.15.

Yone

Syndra is too immobile and with Leblanc, you can easily dodge her stun. Syndra ultimate also is a point and click, which if you have your Ultimate ability, Mimic active, Syndra can ultimate the clone!

Irelia and Yone try to engage, but with Leblanc’s movement abilities, she can just kite and get away from them before they have to give up the chase! Irelia cannot dash to you if you are out of range after hitting her!

Hopefully, you are now ready to climb and improve your win rate with The Deceiver in League of Legends games after this Leblanc guide and Leblanc build! We also have a guide on the best Leblanc skins too!
