The Best Ziggs Build, Runes, Spells and Items for League of Legends!

Ziggs is a C-tier Mid Laner who is really easy to learn. If you are just getting into Mid Lane mages, Ziggs is a solid pick-up. At lower ranks he excels, because of his poke in the lane, as well as his crazy tower-demolishing abilities later on!

Sorcery as Ziggs’ primary rune tree gives him more damage with Scorch and Transcendence, and more mana, such as Manaflow Band. His keystone of choice, Arcane Comet, works well because more mana means more poke, and Arcane Comet, Scorch, and Transcendence mean more damage!

Inspiration as his secondary rune tree gives Ziggs survivability and recovery. Magical Footwear means hecan forget boots until 12 minutes - earlier if he gets some kills!

Biscuit Delivery gives him three biscuits that regenerate 8% of his missing health and mana, as well as increasing his mana cap by 40 for each one!

Ziggs takes Teleport because he should be poking, and Teleport means he can get back to lane rapidly - or even split push later on in the game!

Best Ziggs Abilities Order

This is the best skill order for Ziggs’s abilities:

The first ability in your skill order you want to max is your Q, Bouncing Bomb. You should also level this level one, at level five it is on a four-second cooldown!

Secondly, you want to max E, Explosive Minefield. This is good to throw down when you are being chased, so level this second.

The last ability you want to level is your W, Satchel Charge. This is only used for getting away from enemies, moving towards them, or destroying towers! These functions are fairly niche, and if you play Ziggs correctly, you can utilize the Satchel Charge extremely well!

This deals double damage to towers that are Vulnerable and it is very good for winning the laning phase!

Also make sure you get your Ultimate Ability, Mega Inferno Bomb at levels 6,11, and 16 in between your skill order! This is very good in a team fight, due to the AOE area, and bonus damage for enemies caught in the middle!

Shadowflame is your next proper magic damage item, with 100 Ability Power and 200 HP being a massive boost for Ziggs. It also increases Magic Penetration too! Zhonya’s Hourglass is key as Ziggs is squishy, and the two seconds invulnerability is useful if an assassin, such as Zed or Talon jumps on you. It also gives 65 AP, 45 Armor, and 10 Ability Haste.

Rabadon’s Deathcap is last, with 120 AP and an increase of Magic Damage by 35%.

Katarina can jump, meaning she can get over Ziggs' Explosive Minefield, meaning he has no escape. Azir although he is a Mage, has very good gap-closing abilities, as well as poke in the lane, so steer clear.

Varus is a very niche lane opponent to come up against, as he is normally seen in the Bot Lane. Ziggs can sometimes be played ADC however, but if you are Mid Lane, roam down the river if the enemy has a Varus! This is because he has no escape and to lock you down, he will have to use his Ultimate Ability, Chains of Corruption.

Twisted Fate is easy to predict how he will play, and whilst he loves roaming, Ziggs can just force the Mid towers down with his increased damage to towers!

Irelia can dive on Ziggs very well, similar to Katarina, but if he buys a Zhonya’s Hourglass earlier on in the game, this negates her!
