The best credit money makers in World of Tanks

Do you like to engage in epic tank battles, but are out of credit money? Here are some examples of the best credit-making vehicles in World of Tanks.

Why do you need credits in World of Tanks?

Simply put, credits are what drives the game forward. You can spend credits on purchasing regular or special shells, upgrading vehicles, and purchasing modules. You can also buy Consumables and performance-improving equipment. Premium tanks are what earn you the most credits, but you will have to pay gold to get them.

If we were to ignore Tier differences, the best of the best credit makers is probably the Jagdpanzer IV, a stealthy high-DPM and high mobility beast of the 6th Tier great for a player who wants to get more advanced with the game. Let’s take a look at Tiers 3 to 8.

Best credit makers Tier 3 to Tier 8

Each Tier from Tier 3 to Tier 8 has tanks that will bring more or fewer credits after a battle, though relying on your tank alone will not earn you as much as playing the game well. Tanks best for grinding credit money are from Tier 6 to Tier 8, especially Tier 8 vehicles.

Tier 3: M15/42

This Italian vehicle is a medium tank costing about 45.000 credits. Additional modules can improve its cannon, dealing more damage. It's quick for its Tier at 40 km/h and deals 1.250 Damage per minute.

Tier 4: Jagdpanzer 38 Hetzer

As its name says in German, this is a tank destroyer and probably one of the most famous ones from WW2. Its cost of 127.000 credits will quickly pay off. It’s a great vehicle considering its high DPM while upgrading to a 10.5cm cannon will do even more damage.

Tier 5: KV-1

This famed Soviet heavy tank (check our list of the best heavy tanks) proves itself a beast in World of Tanks too. It costs less than all Tier V heavies but the Churchill, providing a greater DPM than it.

Tier 6: Jagdpanzer IV

Another famous German tank destroyer is on the list of one of the best credit makers in the game. It’s versatile, and although a bit slow at 40 km/h, it does the most DPM out of all Tier VI vehicles.

Tier 7: Tiger I

This legendary tank is a great choice for a money-saving and earning vehicle in Tier VII. Its upgradeable 7.5 cm Kw. K. 42 won’t disappoint!

Tier 8: Caernarvon

Caernarvon is an early heavy Cold War design with lots of upgrades to improve survivability, mobility, and firepower. It's one of the best credit makers in Tier 8.

Tier 9 and Tier 10

Tier IX and X tanks tend to be very expensive and aren’t very suitable for making credits. The best Tiers for earning credits are usually Tiers 6-Tier 8.

Other ways to earn credits

Having a WoT premium account will help a lot. Credits in the battle are earned by participating, inflicting damage to the enemy, spotting, and base capture. Having a premium account will multiply your battle credits by 1.5. Selling old items and vehicles can also help ramp your credits up. Playing in a platoon alongside premium players will also help you earn more.

Best premium credit makers

Premium tanks are by far the best way to earn credits in World of Tanks, and they will earn significantly more compared to tanks on the regular tech tree. Here are some of them sorted by Tier:

Tier 3

Pz. T15, T29, Locust

Tier 4

Valentine II

Tier 5

Pz. T 25, Churchill III, Matilda IV

Tier 6

Dicker Max, T34-85M, Firefly VC, HT No. VI

Tier 7

Panther M10, IS-2M, Scorpion

Tier 8

Caernarvon AX, T26E4, Löwe

In conclusion, it's hard to grind for in-game currency with no World of Tanks premium account, but it's surely easier playing with these regular and premium tanks. Don't forget to check out our list of the best tank destroyers in WoT and the best tanks for each tier for World of Tanks Blitz.
