Best Valorant skins in 2023

Coming into the New Year with new goals and ambitions, many Valorant players will look to improve their skills and inventory as well. Although skins don't necessarily improve your gameplay directly, they have a positive effect overall. If you’re lucky enough to have some extra Valorant and Radianite points left to spend, this article should help you as a guide to which skins will give you the most value.

Phantom Glitchpop

This skin was one of the most highly anticipated skins when it was first announced, mostly due to the fact that the Glitchpop is arguably one of the best skin lines in the game. Although it has a minimalistic design, which greatly improves clarity while playing, it is still one of the prettiest skins for this gun.

1

All of the colorway options are bright, colorful, and satisfying to use, while the sound effects are not that overwhelming like some other skins. The Glitchpop event turned out to be a battle pass worth every Valorant point and we got another article that covers the best Phantom skins on our site.

Vandal Prime

There are many different skins that change your experience with this gun, but the best one has to be the Prime. This skin makes the Vandal’s recoil much easier to control due to the bullet tracings being really bright, and thus improving your spraying capability.

2

The Prime Vandal also makes the firing sound quieter, which helps you pay more attention to your surroundings. The Prime skin makes the Vandal the best version of himself but the other ones are also really good, as shown in our best Vandal skins article.

Operator Ion

The Operator has quite a few skins that change how the gun functions in game, and this is why choosing the best Operator skin is among the hardest tasks. Depending on your taste, you might favor the ElderFlame and the Forsaken but we feel like the Ion finds beauty in simplicity. Unless you are a die hard Game of Thrones and Skyrim fan that loves the sound and visual effects on the ElderFlame, the Ion Operator skin is better in any other area.

3

This skin’s simple and minimalistic design makes it the best weapon skin while performing great in-game. It makes the Operator look like a futuristic Star Wars weapon, and with the clear traces, quick follow up shot adjustments are much easier to pull off. Still if that’s not your cup of tea maybe some other of the best Operator skins will suit you better.

Ares Singularity

Although throughout the meta shifts and with players improving, the Ares gun has lost a lot of value in game, one skin that makes it worth using this gun is the Singularity skin.

4

The bullet tracers on this skin are much brighter than the others, allowing for better recoil management and better wall banging. The other Ares skins are also mesmerizing and if you’re a true fan of the rifle, maybe another Ares skin will fit your style.

Odin Prime 2

If you are choosing to buy an Odin skin, the most important thing you will be looking for is clarity. And the Odin Prime skin has to take the win here mostly due to his spraying clarity and recoil control. The traces on the Prime skin glow like the Star Wars blaster shots and this skin makes the shot sound like a nerf gun.

5

Again, making the weapon quieter and easier to control, while offering great aesthetics, is why we think the Prime is the best Odin skin. If you want to see our full list of the best Odin skins in Valorant, we have another article dedicated to it.

Judge Elderflame

The Judge is another highly situational weapon, which gets the most value out of clarity. While the ElderFlame collection is not the cheapest it definitely is worth the Valorant Points and Radianite points.

6

Apart from the design, where a dragon is spitting flames from your hand, the ElderFlame skin also increases clarity. While running and firing the dragon’s mouth will become wider, which is an indicator that your accuracy is falling but besides that, we got another article that covers the best Judge skins on our site that you might like.

Spectre Forsaken

The Spectre is not the dueling power house gun it used to be, but it would be a lie to say that it’s skins have fallen off. Proof of that are the newer skins of which we really like the Forsaken one.

7

This skin makes it feel like you are not even shooting bullets and improves spraying at close and medium range. The bright green tracers and awesome sound effects make tap firing with this gun a pleasant experience. If you prefer the Prime or the Singularity ones more, you can check out our related article about the best Spectre skins.

Ghost Ruination

The Ghost is one of those unique weapons whose impact varies the most depending on which skin you choose. Although the goal of increasing clarity while looking cool is hard to achieve, we feel like the Ruination Ghost does this the best.

8

While the finisher is breathtaking and can be a bit distracting , the rest of this skin's features also do a great job. The sound effects of the skin are easily distinguishable and the firing patterns are easy to detect making the Ghost the best version of himself but the other ones are also really good, as shown in our best Ghost skins article.

Sheriff Ion

Depending on who you ask in the community, you will get a lot of different answers on what’s the best Sheriff skin in the game. Depending on your taste you might prefer the futuristic design of the Singularity skin, but we personally love the simplicity in the Ion and Minima Sheriff skins.

9

The crisp and flashy usage of the Ion skin makes you feel like the Terminator, and with the bright blue traces, hitting a head shot feels even more satisfying. We covered all of these and more in our related article about the best Sheriff skins.

Marshall Magepunk

Most of the time, the reason you are buying a Marshall is because you can't afford an Operator, but with the Magepunk skin, the difference is barely noticeable.

10

Pro players and content creators widely agree that this skin is one of the best for the weapon, because of the bright clear traces that allow for better adjustments on the follow up shots. Still if that’s not your cup of tea maybe some other of the best Marshall skins will suit you better.

Bucky Ion

The bucky is one of those weapons that’s best suited for close range combat but even then it can feel lackluster if you can't see where your bursts are landing. This can especially be the case when you are using the right click air burst function.

11

But the Ion Bucky skin solves most of these issues with a bright glowing animation that isn’t too distracting, while the sound effects make it seem like you are using a completely new weapon. The other Bucky skins are also beautiful and if you’re a true fan of the shotgun, maybe another Bucky skin will fit your style.

Guardian Infantry

If you’re looking for cool yet affordable skins in Valorant, the Infantry skin line might be your best choice. Of which the Guardian skin is probably the most realistic, because it mimics a weapon used in World War 2 and Call of Duty.

12

For how much detail and effort was put into this skin, considering the price, this skin turns out to be of major value. But if you prefer something more modern in the form of the Ruination or Oni Guardian skins, we have a separate article dedicated to the best Guardian skins.

Bulldog Convex

The Bulldog is one of those guns that has been pretty neglected in the game, but still has some nice, high quality skins in lines like Glitchpop. But still if you’re not an avid Bulldog user and don't like investing that much into a skin you don't use often we have the perfect fit for you.

13

Costing only 875 Valorant Points, the Convex Bulldog skin is a great option for those that want anything but the default Bulldog. If you’re in the mood for buying another Bulldog skin, we have a complete article covering the best Bulldog skins.

Stinger Sovereign

Being one of the hardest weapons to control in the game makes the best Stinger skin, the one with the most clarity. The weapon fires so fast and the recoil goes so high that oftentimes you don't even see where your shots are landing.

14

That;s why the best skin for the Stinger is the Sovereign one. The visual clarity on it has resulted in a large amount of running headshots for me, and if you want to see our full list of the best Stinger skins in Valorant, we have another article dedicated to it.

Frenzy Prime

The Prime frenzy skin might be the only reason I would buy this gun after it’s price nerfs. It also suffers from recoil and spray clarity, which the Prime skin helps with.

15

Although the Glitchpop and Elderflame skins beat it in appearance, the Prime still does the job for me. If you need a spray of more Valorant content, you can check out our list of the best Frenzy skins.

Classic Neuroblaster

The Classic pistol is one of the few guns that benefited from the addition of the blaster space guns in Valorant. Apart from the amazing visual and sound effects, the gun looks smaller and lighter than other Classic skins.

16

The right click burst becomes a lot easier to hit, especially with the upgraded version of the skin, because you can see every bullet leaving the gun. If you’re a fan of the more aesthetically pleasing Classic skins, check out the article on our site.

Shorty Oni

The Shorty gun has fallen completely out of favor with most Valorant players, but the ones that do remain loyal to it mostly prefer the Oni skin.

17

The skin itself is not that special but it does make the gun look bigger and more badass while using it. The best Shorty skins are all unique to each other but the other ones are also really good, as shown in our best Shorty skins article.

Melee Prime 2

With so many high quality knives being released in the game, in such a short span, it's really hard to pinpoint which one is the best.

18

Surely some bias and preferences will get in the way, but I feel like Prime Karambit has to take this spot. Things like the Glitchpop axe and the Oni Claw make for some worthy competition based on creativity for sure.
