Best Sova | Shock Bolt | Recon Bolt | Lineups on Fracture

The key to being one of the best Initiator agents in the game is being able to fit into any team composition. Riot Games hit that mark with the design of Sova, because Sova tracks down enemy players without them even knowing how he did it. Pro teams like Gambit Esports  have started a trend of Sova-less teams on Fracture, but he’s still irreplaceable in Competitive.

Best Attacking Sova Lineups

Attacking A Site Sova lineups

A Site Recon Bolt from A Gate

To get the most information out of one lineup when attacking the A Site, use this one.

Stand in this corner outside of A Gate.

Align the diamonds that signal the bounces with this steel bar.

It should be placed right between them. Give the lineup one bar of charge and no bounces. It should land above this box in A Site and reveal a large area.

Even if they destroy it, you would know they are in A Link or on the site, because they can't shoot it from anywhere else.

A Site Top Shock Bolt

Doing Shock Bolt lineups on the A site is kinda hard because of the design of the map, but this one works just fine. You need to plant the spike on top of the site behind the metal wall and go back into A Dish to this corner.

To aim, align the bottom of the second line of the charge bars with the edge of the building and give it a one bar charge.

This lineup lands perfectly in this corner, where the spike should be planted, so you can shoot it through the metal wall and do lineups for it.

A Ropes Recon Bolt

This is one of the most infuriating Sova Recon Bolt  lineups to play against, especially if you are playing close to the door in A Hall. The enemy team can detect your presence before you even use an ability and now you are running away giving them the site for free.

To do this as Sova you need to place yourself in this corner. Align the second line of the charge bars with the fourth line of this glass window.

Charge the Recon Bolt with two bars and give it one bounce.

This lineup bounces off the building and lands right next to A Rope, revealing all enemies playing in Sand and even inside A Rope.

Attacking B Site Sova lineups

B Site Recon Bolt

This is one of the sickest lineups a Sova player can do on this map, and even if it’s easily detectable and destroyable, the few times it survives it will give a lot of information.

Get in this corner next to this box in B Tree.

You can aim for this steel structure or just align the first bar line with it.

Do a one bounce fully charged lineup and it should bounce off directly onto the B Site behind the green penetrable crates.

B Default post plant Shock Bolt

Playing post plant situations on the B Site isn’t easy because the defenders can come from anywhere, just like the attackers. As Sova you should be playing in B Arcade from where you can hold multiple angles and perform Shock Dart lineups.

This one is the easiest and the safest to execute. Stand in this corner behind the box in B Arcade.

Aim up until the left circle of the Owl Drone UI aligns between these two structures.

Do a one bar charge with no bounces and this Shock Bolt lineup should land on the default plant spot.

B Arcade and B Tower Recon Bolt

This lineup should catch a lot of defenders by surprise because of how fast and unknown it is. If placed properly it scans out the entire B Arcade, even behind the boxes and into B Tower.

Get in this corner next to this box, after the spawn barriers drop. Align the left side of the charge box with this screen and aim a bit below this horizontal line.

Give the lineup one bounce and a max charge. This is where the lineup lands and it gives a lot  of information early into the round.

This lineup was developed by one of our writers and if you want to know about all the other lineups you can do on Fracture with all the other agents make sure to check out these:

Best Defending/Retake Sova Lineups

Defending A Site Sova lineups

A Main Recon Bolt

A Main is one of the most highly contested areas on this map, so having this lineup gives you a lot of information about what the attackers want to do.

Go next to this wooden box in A Main. Aim a bit to the left of the text, but on the vertical line surrounding it.

Give the lineup one bounce and charge it fully.

This should bounce off the wall and land on the other side of A Hall, securing the area for you.

A Dish Recon Bolt

Fighting for A Dish control is a huge gamble for both sides, with the winning team getting an ultimate orb and a highway to the A Site. As defenders, you will never want to take that risk so this Recon lineup does the work for you.

Stand in this corner right as the spawn barriers drop.

Aim a bit higher than the corner of this metal plate. Give the lineup one bounce and charge it fully.

This lineup should land on this wall in A Gate, giving you a lot of early round information.

A Retake Recon Bolt

This is one of the easiest lineups to execute, and yet it can be so effective when playing for retakes.

Get in this corner in Defender spawn as you are rotating from the B Site.

Aim for the top of this yellow line and do a one bar charge.

This lineup flies over this hole and lands above the stairs on the A Site.

Defending B Site Sova lineups

B Tree Recon Bolt

If you don’t have a sniper player to peek at B Main for you, don’t worry. Experienced Sova players know this easy lineup for clearing out this common pushing area.
