Xull stats and best stance

Xull Best stats and stance Brawlhalla

Xull's brutal physique gives him an outstanding 9 strength, with a secondary focus on defense. Speed and strength are slightly lower than average, both sitting at 4.

Xull special tactics

Neutral game

Xull’s neutral game is all about spacing. Axe is hyper focused on hitting SLight, a medium-long range move, while Cannon has very low priority, so skirting the opponent’s attacks and punishing is a necessity.

Xull neutral game Brawlhalla

Xull’s Axe sigs are great for string extensions, especially at lower percentages. Xull’s Cannon Sigs are great for edgeguarding and reads, and they also have insane knockback. Try learning reads with Cannon NSig, and string extensions with Axe D/NSig.

Offstage Game

Honestly, Xull’s offstage is pretty horrendous. Axe can’t really do much, and Cannon is always risky, due to its high startup on all aerials.

Xull Offstage Brawlhalla

In general, you don’t really want to go deep offstage, but there are some rare situations where it’s beneficial to go for the kill.

Edgeguarding

Xull’s edgeguarding is less edgeguarding, and more cornerguarding. In the graphic below, you’ll see a basic image showing where you should and should not be, and where you should and should not be placing attacks over the corner.

This is how to properly cornerguard with cannon in Brawlhalla.

The pink rectangle shows the ‘sweet spot’ for Xull, where he most optimally covers all options from both above and below the wall/corner.

Xull Signature Moves and special tactics

Axe nSig

Xull leaps into the air, hovering as long as you charge the attack, then releases a devastating swing. One of the best Signature Attacks in the game, as it works great for string extension and anti-air.

Axe sSig

Xull charges the enemy, then throws them backwards. Good for dodge reads, due to its low startup time.

Axe dSig

Xull tosses out his beartrap to grab his foes at range. If it connects, he pulls them back and slams them forwards with his axe. This Signature Attack is not that great, it’s only practical use is on the corner, but, even then, it’s very risky.

Cannon nSig

Xull shoots his beartrap diagonally upward. If it doesn’t hit an enemy, it lands on the floor, staying open as long as you charge the attack. If it connects, Xull shoots the enemy away with his Cannon. This Signature Attack is legendary: it catches corner approaches from far away, it’s a great mixup at lower percentages, and it’s amazing for both Slide Canceling and Gravity Canceling.

Cannon sSig

Xull charges the enemy, then launches them forwards. similar to Axe sSig, but worse in almost every way.

Cannon dSig

Xull slams his Cannon into the ground, charging up a pressurized blast that expands with your charge time. The explosion is anywhere from one to three columns, and blasts the opponent directly upwards. This Signature Attack is great for Slide Canceling, and has potential use as an Anti-Air.

Best Xull Axe combos and strings

sLight > nSig

Great mixup for catching Spot Dodges, jumps, and reactions. Also works as a kill string at higher percentages.

Grounded Ground Pound > nSig

Similar concept to the string above, just with a more floaty playstyle in mind. make sure that the Ground Pound is actually grounded by performing it low to the floor.

nLight > dSig

A great, high consistency kill string out of neutral. Use this when your opponent is spacing for your SLight, or when they’re at low percentages.

Best Xull Cannon combos and strings

The Cannon is a great offensive weapon, capable of knocking out quickly using gimps and combos. Quick, snappy and dodge read focused, it’s one of the best weapons for low damage knockouts.

dLight > dAir > sLight > nSig

Classic mixup on Xull. Switch between NSig and Jump > SAir to keep your opponent on their toes. Also works for reading Spot Dodges.

dAir > dSig

A basic approach extension that catches a surprising amount of dodges. It’s a bit finicky, but, with some practice, you’ll get a hang of it

(DLight >DAir> SLight) OR (SLight DAir) > SLight > SAir > Recovery > SAir > Gravity Cancel NSig/SSig

What good would 9 strength be if you didn’t have a zero to death? Though it requires a full read, followed by a 50/50 read, this is still a very strong combo, as, even if you miss the second read, you’ve still sent your opponent from white to orange.
