Azoth The One-Man Dynasty a powerful skeleton that just knows how to use his weapons properly. The dead king uses axe and bow, which makes it a deadly combo.

Azoth stats

1

Azoth is a high-powered legend with an additional focus on defense. The stance that we are using for Azoth is speed, because it can come in handy for helping us recover and traverse around the stage, while the damage decrease isn’t that brutal.

Basics of Brawlhalla combos

There are two types of attacks: light

2

And signature

3

Signature attacks are used for finishing an opponent.

Every legend has the same light attacks (if they have the same weapon), but signatures are different for every legend. Signatures are also referred to as sigs.

Azoth Best Combos, Strings and Signature Moves

Azoth is a not so hard legend, his slow but powerful sigs require for someone to time them very well. On a scale from 1 - 5 we rate him 2 on difficultness.

Azoth’s bow signature moves and special tactics

Bow > sSig

Azoth’s bow side signature is a powerful long-ranged attack. It covers a decent area, and deals a lot of damage. It launches opponents upwards, or diagonally upwards, depending on which skull you hit your enemy with. The skull in the middle deals the most damage and gives the biggest knockback, and the other smaller ones on the side don’t do as much. Finishes an opponent at ~150%, but the smaller ones ~160%.

Bow > dSig

Solid kill option. Relatively fast and covers a small-decent area. Launches the opponent horizontally. Also an unexpected move, you can use it every once and then to bait your opponent. Finishes an opponent at ~150%

Bow > nSig

Great signature attack that covers a large area above Azoth. Great for edge-guarding and finishing off opponents. Both skulls deal the same amount of damage and knock-back, but hitting your enemy with the first skull might be better because it’s ahead of the second one, which makes it closer to the blast zone. The second skull comes a bit later after the first one too. Finishes an opponent ~150%.

Best Azoth bow combos and strings

sLight > dLight

The best combo starter. Not possible at later percentages, you can mix it up with nAir, nLight, sAir etc.

dLight > nLight

The most basic bow combo. Racks up damage and leads into some strings. Possible at any percent.

dLight > nAir

Same as the nLight version, except you use this one to kill an enemy if you are in the middle of the stage. Possible at any percent.

dLight > sAir

Same as the nAir version, except you use this one to kill an enemy if you are on the edge of the stage. Possible at any percent. Good combo starter

sLight > dLight > nLight

The most basic “string” in the bow's arsenal. Beween the sLight and dLight is a 1 frame dodge window, so it is almost a true combo. Pretty good kill confirm and also a safer string if you are unsure about going for the side-air, or not near a ledge to get the side-air kill. Possible up to 220% but after 190% has a bigger dodge window. It kills pretty early. Pretty good combo and can lead into gPs, dAirs etc.

dLight > Rec

Pretty good combo, good for all stages throughout the game. This is especially good for killing an opponent, because of the recovery. Another reason is, this is a true combo they cannot react to.

sLight > dLight > sAir > gP

The extended version of the most basic string. It deals a huge amount of damage and can give you a good position if you hit it. You can also use the dAir instead of the ground pound, depending on where your opponent tends to go after the sAir. The gP/dAir is used for edgeguarding at the end. Really useful string, be sure to practice it as sometimes it's hard to hit it right. It’s worth it though.

Azoth’s axe signature moves and special tactics

Axe > sSig

Super strong move with good range and great speed. Comes out relatively fast and slashes an opponent with high force. Covers a low-decent area. Launches an opponent horizontally. Finishes an opponent ~120%.

Axe > dSig

Also a strong move with good range but relatively slow. Launches an opponent vertically with high power. Covers a large area. You can use it for edge-guarding, or pair it with a dash to catch an opponent off-guard on the stage, or off-stage. Launches an opponent upwards. Finishes an opponent at 130%

Axe > nSig

Another strong move, but has a bit less power than the other axe sigs considering it sends the opponent diagonally upwards, therefore killing at later percentages. You can also use it for edge-guarding. It also covers a large area above Azoth. Finishes an opponent at ~140%

Best Azoth axe combos and strings

sLight > dLight

[asLightdLight.mp4]

The most simple combo in axe’s kit. Solid combo. You can hit it as far away as you want, but at later percentages (after 50%) you have to hit the sLight closer. Possible up to ~180%

sLight > nAir

The bread & butter of axe combos. Also very simple. Deals more damage than the dLight version, but not by much (around 3% more). You also have to hit the sLight closer the higher your opponent's percentage is (if you want to hit it true.)  Possible up to 110%

dAir > dLight

This is a string. It is possible up to around 170%, but after 140% you will have to dash to hit the follow-up dLight. The only reason to use this string is if your opponent is above 100%, at which point you cannot follow up with a sLight or an nLight (which leads to a bigger string, while you cannot follow up with a dLight).

dAir > nLight

This is also a string. It is possible up to 50%, but can only lead up into other attacks at 0% to 30%. The only reason you should use this one at very early percentages instead of the dLight one is because it leads up to a bigger string, dealing more damage and is also a bit faster with a 3 frame lower dodge window than the sLight version. You should use the sLight version after 40%.

sLight > nAir > sAir

The best string in axe’s kit. It is used for finishing off opponents or racking up damage. Possible up to ~180%

Azoth is an overall good legend with excellent power and with good speed when using the speed stance which is essential in his kit. Do not be fooled though, with every legend in the game you need to put the time and effort into mastering them. All you need now is a guide like mine to get you started.

Azoth Tips and Tricks

Axe’s recovery is heavy hitting and solid ranged attack, but in the meantime is a pretty slow move, be careful when to use it. Also you can try to hit your enemy with it when you are recovering, but don’t make it the main focus when you are using it, because if you whiff it, it’s game over. The same goes for the ground-pound if you miss it, you can also use it for some strings, but it’s also slow. Azoth’s sigs are pretty good, especially the bow’s neutral sig because it covers a large area and kills early, pair it with the down sig and the side sig and you got a dream combo, great for edge guarding and sneaky kills.
