Best Rayman combos, strings, and combat tactics in Brawlhalla

Rayman, champion of the glade of dreams, is a powerful brawler with an attitude for fist fighting. His fairly equal stats, with a light focus on defence and speed make him an excellent all around fighter.

Rayman stats and best stance

Rayman stats are very balanced. Best stances are strength and speed, since having easier movement with gauntlets and axe is very good.

Rayman special tactics

Neutral game

The gauntlet+axe duo of weapons grants Rayman a good balance between slow pace and fast and aggressive. Since the weapons behave fairly differently, a Rayman player will often feel erratic to play against and this can be used to your advantage by catching the opponent unaware of your next move.

Playing aerial is recommended, as both weapons have great aerial combat assets. Rayman sigs are pretty unusual, and while not particularly exceptional, can be used to great effect thanks to the weird animations.

Offstage Game

Playing offstage can be done with the axe or the gauntlets, as both weapons are great at fighting while floating in the air.

Using gc and following up with a sig can also be done, as it can catch some opponents unaware or help you get back on stage.

Edgeguarding

Edguarding is the perfect time to show off the sigs, especially the axe dSig. Play around your sigs and wait for the enemy to attempt a return to the stage.

Going in for the kill can also be done, as both and gauntlets are great at knocking out an offstage enemy.

Rayman Best Combos, Strings and Signature Moves

Rayman is equipped with an axe and a pair of gauntlets. The gauntlets are fast and quick paced weapons, reliant on combos and position manipulation of the enemy. The axe is an excellent medium range weapon with surprisingly fast lights that often catch the enemy off guard. Not happy with Rayman but like his weapons?

Rayman Signature Moves and special tactics

Axe nSig

Rayman uses a mushroom as a jump platform to go diagonally upwards and mow down everything in his way with an axe twirl. Use it to catch a recovering enemy or to punish a wall hugger. This sig does not hit an enemy too close to you.

Axe sSig

Rayman uses his axe like a skateboard and slides horizontally. If an enemy is hit then he will follow up with an axe sweep. If there is no ground present the move will also go downward. Situational and difficult to insert in a match you can use it when edgeguarding or when chasing an opponent.

Axe dSig

Rayman starts flying and prepares to deal a devastating axe strike downwards. When charging up the attack rayman can move horizontally. This is one of the best signatures available, and should be prioritised especially when edgeguarding or playing offstage.

Gauntlets nSig

After a short charge up Rayman punches upwards with a gigantic fist. The range of the fist depends on the charge up time. A nice attack to mix and match during the game. Useful when the opponent likes to play aerial.

Gauntlets sSig

Identical to the nSig, but hits horizontally. The same recommendations apply.

Gauntlets dSig

Rayman Jumps and starts hovering. Then he bombards the enemy with a flurry of boxing gloves. While hovering he can also move horizontally. Useful in edguarding situations.

Best Rayman Gauntlets combos and strings

The gauntlets are a string based, low range weapon. They have great aerial juggle capabilities like scythe and hammer, while also having a sAir that keeps you floating like rocket lance. This combination makes them one of the best offstage weapons.

dSig

A very strong edgeguarding tactic, unlike other moves you risk very little while doing this sig.

dLight > sSig

Very fast combo, can be used to kill your opponent sideways with gauntlets, which is rare.

sLight > gc > nSig

The standard opener for gauntlets followed up by nSig. Better than sLight > recovery, but a little riskier.

Best Rayman Axe combos and strings

The axe is a great weapon with important aerial capabilities mostly due to the excellent recovery and sAirs of the weapon. It can be played offensively, searching for gimps and juggling opponents in the air with dAirs and nAirs.

Gc > nSig

Use this sig to travel a great distance to get back onto the stage. Very telegraphed, but safe for most of the movement besides the landing.

nLight > chase Dodge> sSig

Slide off with the sSig after throwing the enemy laterally. Useful for catching enemies spot dodging or dodging backwards.

nLight > chase Dodge> dSig

Same thing as the combo above, but useful when the enemy gets thrown offstage.
