Best Kor combos, strings, and combat tactics in Brawlhalla

Kor the Boulder was the head of a powerful army of humanoid rocks sent by the elven king to conquer asgard. After failing to do so the surviving golems were employed for menial tasks, destined to a life of servitude. Then one day, Kor found a two handed hammer with the engraved symbol of justice. Now using a pair of gauntlets and that same hammer he fights in the everlasting tournament, for justice and equal treatment of the golems.

Kor special tactics

Neutral game

During the neutral game your main objective should be to achieve an advantage over the enemy. This advantage can be reached by either throwing the opponent offstage, thus gaining control of the stage and the general flow of the game or by doing enough damage to confine the enemy in a defensive position. Kor has some good tools to get this advantage. When using the hammer play around a defensive, bait focused stance but do not shy away from going aggressive if you feel like that the enemy looks weak in some aspects.

2

Use the neutral light or the side light to catch an advantaged opponent and throw it in a short manipulation combo that can end with an offstage throw. With the gauntlets the approach is the exact opposite. Get up close and personal and use the powerful aerial combat to govern the position of the opponent using short combos or single strong attacks such as the side air or the neutral air.

Offstage Game

Offstage is where gauntlets really shine. Use short combos and make the enemy bounce around walls to line up for a ground pound, or follow the opponent with a series of neutral and down airs.

3

You can also take a more defensive approach thanks to the powerful movement capabilities of the gauntlets. When using the hammer, exploit as much as possible the vertical potential of the weapon, abusing the recovery and the down air to reverse your position with the opponent before lining up a side air.

Edgeguarding

Edgeguarding with the gauntlets is a matter of reading the enemy movements. The short range of the weapon does not have great room for error. Play around dodge-reading and keep the enemy offstage using the down air. You can also do some limited chasing maneuvers and throw the opponent offstage using the neutral air.

4

The hammer has one big advantage. Range. Play around the side air of the weapon for medium ranged killing swings that will keep enemies offstage. You can also abuse the vertical capabilities of the weapon, playing around the recovery and the down air to keep the enemy away.
