Mordex Stats
Mordex is a high speed legend, with good damage and low dexterity. His defense is alright therefore why we are using dexterity on him. The dexterity will come in handy especially when using the gauntlets.
Basics of Brawlhalla combos
There are two types of attacks: light and signature
Light attacks are used for approaching an enemy.
Signature attacks are used for finishing an opponent.
Every legend has the same light attacks (if they have the same weapon), but signatures are different for every legend. Signatures are also referred to as sigs.

Mordex Best Combos, Strings and Signature Moves
The Ravenous Werewolf’s kit consists of scythe and gauntlets. You could argue that they are one of the harder weapons in Brawlhalla. The whole kit of Scythe has zero true combos, while gauntlets have more forgiving two, maybe three. Both of the weapons consist of very little to none true combos. In order to play with these two weapons you have to perform strings. Strings are performed by wasting or reading your opponent’s dodge.

Mordex’s scythe signature moves and special tactics
Scythe > nSig
Mordex’s scythe nSig covers a decent area above Mordex. It packs a good punch and it comes out relatively fast. You can use it to end off a string, for edge guarding or pair it with a dash. Launches opponents vertically. Finishes an opponent at ~130%
Scythe > sSig
This is also a great sig. Covers a huge area but comes out a bit slower than the nSig. It is great sig that comes in handy for the scythe’s kit because it pairs perfectly with it’s light attacks. Best to use it with a gC to end strings. You should try to hit it at the end of the stage so that it would kill earlier. Launches opponent horizontally and finishes them at ~140%
Scythe > dSig
This sig covers a good area and it also has an active input. You can throw you opponents forwards or backwards, which can be useful depending on which side of the stage you are on. The sig also makes Mordex move backwards a bit, which can aid you in positioning and fooling your opponent. Also can be used off-stage and what not. Launches opponents horizontally, finishes them at ~150%.
Best Mordex scythe combos and strings.
Mordex has endless possibilities on scythe. His scythe is played on the highest stages of the professional side of the game by Sandstorm, Boomie etc. These strings are only a piece of what you can actually do with Mordex.
nLight > nAir
There are 2 variations of this string because nAir has active input. This is a basic string which can lead into many other, more complicated strings while it also racks up good damage. Possible at all percents.
sLight > nAir
The sLight also has active input (don’t press the forward button to perform the sLight for this combo). Also a good string starter, you can follow this up with nAir, sAir etc… or use Rec for it to become a kill option. Scythe is all about creativity and unpredictability. Possible at all percentages.
dLight > sLight
Basic string that can lead into many others, you should also try to mixup your options, so that is why we selected these three strings. Possible up to 110%
dAir > sLight > nLight > nAir
One of the many complicated scythe string, use this to build up damage or to finish an opponent by adding a recovery after or before nAir thereby removing it completely. Possible up to 110%
nLight > gC > nSig
Great kill option if you opponent neutral dodges.

Mordex’s gauntlets signature moves and special tactics
Gauntlets > nSig
Mordex’s neutral signature is a fast, but predictable move. Launching Mordex up high, then sideways. It does not cover a huge area. You can use this for edge-guarding, dodge predictions and more. Finishes an opponent at 140%.
Gauntlets > sSig
This sig leaps Mordex up sideways, making him hit his opponent at the end of the animation. This is a bit faster than nSig but needs more % for a kill confirmation. Finishes an opponent at 160%.
Gauntlets > dSig
This sig has active input, one drags opponents sideways and the other upwards depending on the input you put in. This sig is exceptionally fast
Launches Mordex sideways whilst dragging his opponent with him and launching them right above in the air. Finishes an opponent at 170%.
The sideways version kills opponents at 130% if at ledge. This is especially good for edge-guarding.
Best Mordex gauntlets combos and strings.
dLight > sLight
The most basic true combo in gauntlet’s kit. Racks up damage and leads into many other strings. Good for mixing up your approaches. It also gives you great positioning if you land it because of the follow up sLight, and it is also great because it is possible at all percents because of the dLight’s fixed knockback.
nLight > sLight
This is a string. It is also good for racking up damage and you can also use it for mixup instead of the sLight or dLight, but it doesn’t really lead up into many other strings other than this one because the nLight is a kill move. Possible up to 90%
sLight > gC > sLight
This is a string. It is used to predict your opponent’s dodge. You can mix it with some other dodge read options to become the ultimate gauntlet master. It also deals solid damage. Possible at all percentages.
dLight > nLight
This is a true combo. Deals more damage than the sLight version, and has some string potential, however the follow up options are only possible at lower percentages, and so is the combo. This combo can also give you good positioning, which can also help you in 2v2, for example: You can use it to push your opponent away while your teammate is picking up a weapon. Possible up to 40%
sLight > Rec
This is a string. Nonetheless it is still a great kill confirm that also racks up damage. Also superb because of the sLight’s fixed knockback. You should seriously use this string in your arsenal. Possible at all percentages.
sLight> nAir > gC > nLight > sAir
This is one of the more complex gauntlet’s strings, because you will have to do some dodge reads if you want to accomplish it, but if you already know one complex string, all the other ones are just mix and match. Be careful though, because the follow-up nAir has a dodge window and is also jumpable. Gauntlets are all about mixup, and so is scythe.

Mordex Tips and Tricks
Mordex is a somewhat complex character, you will need to know how to use his sigs to aid you in battle and to conquer your foes. Scythe doesn’t really have true combos, so you will have to use your opponents' downfall to your advantage. You can also go offstage and outsmart your opponents, but only do it if you are sure about your skills.
The only moves that kill in scythe’s kit are the sAir and the Rec, so you are somewhat limited in that spectrum. You can also use dAir and gP offstage for some cheesy kills. Also learn some dodge reads. You can also go off-stage with gauntlets’ and they are a bit more forgiving because the gauntlets have a better recovery and also the sAir. Your best combo finisher on gauntlets it the sLight Rec. And gauntlets also don’t have many kill moves, so learn your opponents dodge options.
