Fait the star witch is a powerful legend, with an excellent set of sigs and a great duo of weapons. Her orb and scythe provide interesting gameplay options, and her sigs shine in the hands of experienced and inexperienced players alike.

Fait stats and best stance

Fait stats focus on strength and speed. The speed is great for her weapons, although having 4 defense is scary. Her best stance is probably defense.

Fait special tactics

Neutral game

Fait is an amazing character, with an incredible range of attacks that can dispose quickly of any opponent.

You can either gain the advantage using the quick and short scythe gimps or through hard hitting with the orb. Look for openings to use your sigs or bait an enemy into it,as the high damage will definitely help you in finding a knockout.

Offstage Game

Playing offstage can be done with the scythe or the orb, as both weapons are great at fighting while floating in the air. Use the scythe to bait an enemy into a grab and eventually a gimp that can knockout.

The orb can be used as a forceful alternative, throwing the enemy around with high force attacks and the awesome gp.

Edgeguarding

Fait sigs shine when in an edgeguarding situation. She has a strong array of moves that pretty much cover every kind of approach the enemy can do.

Bait the enemy into a strong sig to guarantee you a kill. Use the scythe to catch slippery enemies and gimp them to death. The orb can also be useful, as the weapon has a strong force factor in many attacks and can easily knock out an offstage enemy.

Orb nSig

Fait touches her orb in a rotating motion and then leaps in the air and hits upwards with her orb with an arched motion. The enemy will then be thrown upwards and slightly diagonal. Useful in many scenarios, including edgeguarding and catching a floaty enemy.

Orb sSig

Fait casts star shaped magical energy and rides it. If an enemy is hit she will follow up with a roundhouse kick that throws the opponent horizontally and slightly diagonally (this move has active input). An useful sig that can be used on grounded enemies or to catch slippery enemies that like to dodge sideways.

Orb dSig

Fait swings her orb to draw streaks of magical energy in a star shape. If an enemy is hit she will wrap it in the star and follow up with a punch that will smack the opponent horizontally (or upwards, this move has active input). Fast and short ranged should be reserved to catch an enemy that likes to get nice and close.

Scythe nSig

Fait charges a magical star and slams it on the ground. the resulting puddle of magical energy will then travel upwards as a magic dart. If the sig is released immediately there will be just one magic arrow; if it's held the magical energy will instead split in three magical darts. Its use can be rather limited but the range is not to be underestimated.

Scythe sSig

Fait charges up on the tip of her scythe and prepares to shoot. virtually identical to the nSig but horizontal. If the sig is held the result will be a long ranged and straight magical dart, but if released immediately she will shoot three close small magical star shaped bullets. Useful when fighting grounded opponents, this sig is fast and hits hard. 

Scythe dSig

Fait shrouds herself in magical energy with her scythe and then teleports horizontally in a spot marked by a small star. During the teleport she strikes around her and hits everything in her path. The usefulness is rather limited, but can be handy to kill grounded opponents.

Best Fait Orb combos and strings

The orb is a string based, medium range weapon.It has great aerial juggle capabilities like scythe and gauntlets, while also having a recovery that can make you travel great diagonal distance. This combination makes them one of the best edgeguarding weapons.

sLight > nSig

Variation of the standard orb opening. Useful for killing upwards.

sLight > dLight > gc > nSig

Short combo that can give you the edge on an injured opponent. Will kill easily with the upwards smack.

dSig

A very strong edgeguarding tactic, can catch players trying to return to stage.

Best Fait Scythe combos and strings

The Scythe is a great offensive weapon, capable of knocking out quickly using gimps and combos. Quick, snappy and dodge read focused, it’s one of the best weapons for low damage knockouts.

sLight > nSig

Bread and butter combo that will throw the opponent upwards with force. Can be used on grounded opponents.

sLight > dLight > sSig

Devastatingly quick combo that will push an enemy horizontally and then throw him with force using the sSig. Clean and quick, can be used to kill an enemy after pushing him towards the edge.

nLight > nSig

Variation of the first combo, mix and match to the two to deal with grounded enemies.
