Best Teros combos, strings, and combat tactics in Brawlhalla

Released in the early days of the game, Teros is a ferocious and brutal warring fighter with a peculiar animalistic style of combat. This is reflected by his ingame aggressive and threatening fighting style, reliant on single hits, short combos and powerful signature moves. In this article you will learn the essential combos of the beloved minotaur.

If you want to know specific combos about Teros weapons, check out our axe combos and strings and hammer combos and strings guide.

Teros stats and best stance

1

Teros has high strength and low dexterity. Best stance is strength if you want to focus on his strength and dexterity if you want to alleviate his weakness.

Teros special tactics

Neutral game

The axe and hammer are excellent tools at your disposal, and when utilised properly, they can provide a significant advantage.

  • Don't be afraid to play with a lot of sigs with Teros.

2

  • Teros has powerful signatures that may quickly deliver massive damage to the enemy.
  • The multitude of aerial techniques available to both weapons can be used to gain the upper hand.
  • Your best bet while employing the hammer is to try to bait an adversary movement.

Offstage Game

Teros offstage game is something that you will need to practice a lot at first, but it is a very strong asset to have and can even bring some cheesy knockouts.

3

Hammer and axe have both amazing recoveries and gp, putting you above a lot of the smaller range weapons.

Having said that, you need to be wary of faster characters, both in dexterity and speed, and weapons such as spear, axe, hammer, scythe and gauntlets.

Edgeguarding

4

Your best tool for edgeguarding on the ground is Teros axe nsig. While off ground, you can use gp and recoveries of both weapons pretty safely, while respecting the weapons referenced above in the offstage paragraph.

Teros Best Combos, Strings and Signature Moves

Teros is equipped with an axe and a hammer. The hammer excels in aerial combat with long range and hard hitting attacks. The axe is an excellent medium range weapon with surprisingly fast lights that often catch the enemy off guard. Not happy with Teros but like his weapons?

Teros Signature Moves and special tactics

Axe nSig

Teros jumps up and swings his axe downwards to perform a ground smash that can carry on further if there is no ground below. Can be used to punish an offstage enemy or to catch a hovering enemy. The wide area of effect and strong knockback of the attack renders it particularly useful for dealing a killing blow on a wall hugging opponent. Mix and match normal nSigs with gc to impose a heavy threat on any enemy careless enough to get caught.

Axe sSig

This side swing is used to sweep horizontally on a wide area. Usable on ground to deal damage while travelling in a direction, if used in combo with a gc will also slowly go downwards. Use it to punish static players and to catch off guard enemies on the ground with a fast and wide move. The use is fairly situational and the move should not be used as a primary killmove, due to the easiness of dodge and the predictability of it.

Axe dSig

A fast arched overhead sweeping axe strike that goes from side to side. This quick and strong attack has a great area coverage and has a huge knockback value. Use it to punish hovering enemies or to catch someone returning to the stage.  Be aware that this attack cannot hit any opponent right under you.

Hammer nSig

A fast upwards diagonal hammer grab that sends the opponent flying downward in the opposite direction. This signature is extremely strong, capable of killing easily and difficult to avoid. Useful after a nLight or to catch an opponent returning to stage. But be careful ( and avoid spamming it) because the hitbox is finicky. It can leave you open and lead the opponent to an advantage.

Hammer sSig

Does a great deal of damage while moving horizontally. It’s usually reserved to chase an opponent or catch him after a dodge. Can also be used effectively after a gc near the ground to catch an enemy unaware. While the damage is great the high startup and recovery frames animation of the sig makes it hard to use and situational.

Hammer dSig

A rapid hammer swing that hits around teros, first in the facing direction and then on the back. This devastating hit is used similarly to the dSig of the axe. The hammer is slightly slower, and can also hit at feet level pretty consistently.

Best Teros Hammer combos and strings

The hammer is a strong hitting weapon with an amazing recovery and great aerial capabilities. Primarily a defensive weapon it can be used to bait enemies into quick combos and position manipulation strings.

A fast and easy combo that can deal a killing blow, useful when on the edge to catch enemies and throw them off stage.

<h4 id="dLight > dSig (True combo)_id=17">dLight > dSig (True combo)

Similar to dLight > nSig, but it’s useful when you want to throw the enemy upwards.

nLight > sLight > gp > Rec > gp

Start this combo in neutral to execute a position manipulation combo that can kill easily with a series of GPs.
