Best Viper Lineups on Ascent in 2024 [Mollies & Walls]

Best Attacking Viper Lineups

Snake Bite Lineups

A Bombsite Default Plant Lineup

This is one of the most useful Viper lineups for post-plant on A Site. It allows you to play in a safer position, while it forces the defender to get really far from the Spike in order to stop you.

With this lineup, enemies will have a hard time trying to defuse the bomb. In a 1v1 situation, it can be game-changing.

A Bombsite Double Box Plant Lineup

Similar to the default plant lineup, you are going to throw this Snake Bite from A Main. Stand against the box and place your crosshair in the same spot where you can see it in the image, in the top left corner of that stone.

Then do a simple throw (left-click), after that you just have to wait for the enemies to either die in your poison or start running around trying to find you.

B Bombsite Default Plant Lineup

The most used, and effective Viper lineup on the B Site. You will throw this Viper lineup from the B Lobby. Stand against the octopus wall and line up your HUD between the two windows.

After that, do a standard throw (left-click). Enemies will have a hard time getting to you and stopping you from throwing the Snake Bites since you are very far from the plant area.

B Bombsite Easier Default Plant Lineup

This is an easier Viper lineup also for the default plant spot on B Site. In this one, you will pass B Lobby and go to B Main and place yourself close to the left side of the wall.

After that, move a bit to the right, and place your crosshair just like it shows in the image, in the right corner of that bush. Then do a standard throw (left-click).

B Bombsite Default Plant Lineup from CT

You probably won’t use this B Site Viper lineup as much since you need to have control of the CT area.

Just stand in the left corner of the CT wall, and aim at the air conditioner, then proceed to do a normal throw (left-click).

Toxic Screen Attacking Lineups

A Bombsite Toxic Screen

This Viper Toxic Screen cuts the A Site in the middle and blocks the vision of the enemies on Tree, Hell, Heaven, and Back Site.

With this Toxic Screen, it's also easier to enter the bombsite.

B Bombsite Toxic Screen

With this Toxic Screen, you will be able to block the vision from the enemies that are playing on Market and CT.

This will make it much easier for you and your teammates to enter the B Site, and will force the enemies to use utility to regain control of that area. Line up your aim between the first and second tile and just throw it.

Now that you understand how important lineups are, be sure to check other lineups for Split, and we have these for all Valorant Agents.

Best Defensive Viper Lineups

Poison Cloud One-Way Defensive Lineups

A Main One-Way Poison Cloud

Similar to the one-way Poison Cloud on B Main, this one will also make it a very difficult task for the opponents to enter through A Main while the Poison Cloud is online.

This Poison Cloud will block the enemy team vision and allow you to play from very different positions inside the A Bombsite. Just aim at the top of the thinnest rectangle (where the crosshair is placed) and do a normal throw (left-click). You also have to do it while the barrier is still up.

B Main One-Way Poison Cloud

A great Poison Cloud one-way, that is going to make the task of entering the B Site very hard for your enemies.

They won't be able to see to the B Bombsite, while you will be able to see them from various angles. Stand against the left side edge of the door, aim at the bottom of the lamp, and then do a jump throw (right-click).
