It all started back in 2010 when Riot Games took League of Legends to the next level by introducing a new “system”, making League of Legends what it is today: a highly competitive game.
From the beginning and up to this date, players who reached level 30 will be able to engage in ranked matches, the system Riot Games added to the game would let players test their skills and position themselves among the best of the best in League of Legends.
What are the League of Legends Season Rewards
Each season has its own things, although there are many similarities in their different rewards, the things you can get every season depending of your rank are:
RANK | REWARDS |
---|---|
Iron and Bronze | Iron Summoner Icon Iron Profile Banner Trim Eternal Champion Capsule |
Silver | Iron Summoner Icon Iron Profile Banner Trim Eternal Champion Capsule Loading Screen Border |
Gold | Iron Summoner Icon Iron Profile Banner Trim Eternal Champion Capsule Loading Screen Border Victorious Skin |
Platinum, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger | Iron Summoner Icon Iron Profile Banner Trim Eternal Champion Capsule Loading Screen Border Victorious Skin Victorious Skin Chroma |
Okay, now it's time to look a little more in-depth into all the Season Rewards you can get in LoL:
Summoner Icons
Summoner Icons are pictures shown in the profile of a player. Although they can be purchased, or earned, there are several Summoner Icons obtainable through a season, which you get as a reward when you reach a new rank, such as Iron or or Bronze, these icons are a great way to let people know what rank you're in.
Ranked Borders
This is another displayable feature for your profile. It pretty much adorns it with a border that represents the rank that you're currently in. As you scale ranks, they will transform, turning to be shinier, more imposing, and of course, gorgeous. Anyone would love to flex a Profile Banner Trim above Bronze.
Eternal Champion Capsule
An Eternal Champion Capsule is a type of reward that acts as any other capsules or chests, but they contain some specific rewards. These capsules grant summoners orange essence and set shards for champions that will be unlocked when you upgrade them with orange essence.
Because you may not get a set shard for a champion you actually play, you have the option to disenchant them for some orange essence in return.
Loading Screen Border
This is a border that will be displayed during the loading screen before a game, pretty much another way to show off your rank, since they go accordingly to the highest you achieve.
Victorious skins
Victorious skins are one of the most exclusive characteristics of a season. Each year Riot Games decides to give the spotlight to a specific champion by giving them a Victorious skin.
Throughout the years some champions who have gotten a Victorious skins are:
- Victorious Lucian
- Victorious Morgana
- Victorious Jinx (available only on Wild Rift)
- Victorious Blitzcrank
Honor Capsules
Summoners will also earn an honor capsule according to their honor level at the end of each season, that’s why we recommend you to always play as nicely as possible to get the honor from your teammates after each match.
Honor capsules are a great way of emotes, but some other rewards you’ll find in them are the following:
- Honor 3 Capsule
- Random Ward Skin
- 3 Key Shards
- Honor 4 Capsule
- Random Ward Skin
- Random Emote Permanent
- 3 Key Shards
- Honor 5 Capsule
- Random Ward Skin
- Random Emote Permanent
- 6 Key Shards
For those who want to take League of Legends on a more serious level, they must know that the path isn’t easy and that it takes a fair amount of patience and resilience to actively learn from the mistakes they might do, in order to improve and become better, a nice goal to achieve would be to at least increase a new rank per season
But as long as they put in the effort, Riot’s system of ranked matches will have ranked rewards awaiting, giving them all the right to not only brag that mastery 7 with their main champion, but to actually show off those high Elo ranks, whether it be in your summoner icon, or as an emote when you’re in the rift.
