Best Brynn combos, strings, and combat tactics in Brawlhalla

Brynn, The Chooser Of The Slain, is an atypical valkyrie born from the union between a god and a human, known in Valhalla to choose the weirdest and most unnatural places to search for mighty warriors. Her talent is unparalleled and many of her chosen have won the tournament. Striving to better understand her human nature, she often fights in the everlasting tournament.

Brynn stats and best stance

Brynn stats are almost perfectly balanced, each one except speed sitting at five. Speed is her highest stat, with a seven. A balanced approach favours a wide array of situations, and her weapons benefit greatly from that.

Brynn special tactics

Neutral game

The Axe and Spear are an outrageously aggressive combo that can chain a killing combo very easily thanks to the high stunlock potential. Play around aerial combat using the recovery and the side air as your main damaging attacks. When fighting on ground level use the Spear as the long range of the weapon is suited for safeish and effective damage dealing.

Playing aerial is recommended, as both weapons have great aerial combat assets. Brynn sigs are powerful and easy to connect. They also fit well with most basic combos as a killing blow.

Offstage Game

Playing offstage can be done with the Axe or the Spear, as both weapons are great at fighting while floating in the air. Abuse the recovery and the side air of both weapons to deal easily with opponents. The side air of both weapons works fairly well as a killing tool, and can be used to get quick and easy kills on opponents chasing you down.

Using ground pounds can be a viable strategy, especially with the Spear due to the long and wide range of the weapon. Denying space is particularly useful to keep the enemy away from you.

Edgeguarding

Edguarding can be executed fairly well with Brynn weapons. Play around the recovery or the ground pound of the Spear for an easy and effective wide ranged attack.

When using the Axe you should try to catch the opponent using the down air or abuse the recovery and ground pound which acts similarly to the Spear rec and gp. Signature can be useful, especially when timed correctly but they can also be used for denying space.

The Axe is also excellent at chasing down the enemy with a combination of down airs.

Brynn Signature Moves and special tactics

Axe nSig

Brynn deals a powerful Axe swing upwards. If the hit connects she will deal an additional Axe swing, sending the enemy flying upwards. Great when used in combos, this signature can also be used during edgeguarding.

Axe sSig

Brynn moves horizontally while twirling her Axe. Any opponent hit by the Axe will be sent flying horizontally. Great signature for neutral stage, can be used to gain ground control.

Axe dSig

Brynn flies upwards and then moves horizontally while sweeping the ground beneath her with the Axe. This signature is extremely useful in edgeguarding situations.

Spear nSig

Brynn flies diagonally upwards while stabbing with her Spear. The motion will push any enemy hit diagonally upwards with great force. This signature is useful in both edgeguarding situations and used in short combos as a killing move.

Spear sSig

Brynn flies horizontally while stabbing. Pretty much identical to the nSig, the difference being that the enemy will be thrown horizontally. Use to gain ground control or in short combos.

Spear dSig

Brynn executes a whirlwind using her Spear, dealing high force damage on any opponent hit by the signature. Great when used in sword combos or to catch an over aggressive enemy.

Best Brynn Spear combos and strings

The Spear is a great weapon with important aerial capabilities mostly due to the excellent recovery and sAirs of the weapon. It can be played offensively, searching for gimps and juggling opponents in the air with long range dAirs and sAirs.

sLight > nSig

Use the side light to stun an enemy and then execute a neutral signature. Easy to perform, this combo can be used as an effective killing move.

sLight > dLight > gc > nSig

A variation of the standard Spear combo that ends with a powerful neutral signature, use it to knock out low health opponents.

sLight > dLight > gc > dSig

Similar to the second combo, this one will throw the enemy horizontally using the down signature. The usage is identical to the second combo.

Best Brynn Axe combos and strings

The Axe is a great weapon with important aerial capabilities mostly due to the excellent recovery and sAirs of the weapon. It can be played offensively, searching for gimps and juggling opponents in the air with dAirs and nAirs.

sLight > nSig

Use the side light to make an enemy travel upwards and connect to the signature attack. Will usually kill low health opponents with the upward throw.

nLight > sSig

Throw an enemy near the edge and then move towards it using the side signature, this combo can be hard to hit but the results are pretty devastating. Use it as a general purpose combo.

dAir > nSig

Use the down air to stun an enemy before executing a powerful neutral signature, most likely resulting in a killing blow. Has to be executed from the air.
