Ada The Ghost in The Machine is a blaster and spear wielding master.
Ada stats
Ada is a fast paced and aggressive legend because of her stats that are highly focused on strength, dexterity and speed. This however does mean that she is very barebone in the defense department.
The stance that we are going to be using on Ada is of course, defense.
Basics of Brawlhalla combos
There are two types of attacks: light and signature
Light attacks are used for approaching an enemy.
Signature attacks are used for finishing an opponent.
Every legend has the same light attacks (if they have the same weapon), but signatures are different for every legend. Signatures are also referred to as sigs.

Ada Best Combos, Strings and Signature Moves
Ada’s kit consists of spear and blasters. The spear is a relatively easy weapon whilst the blasters take a bit more practice.
Article with spear-specific combos:
Spear > sSig
This is a fast and decently ranged sig. It also covers a decent area but it does lack kill power. You can pair it with a slide, use it to unexpectedly hit your opponents, finish a string etc.. Launches opponents horizontally. Finishes them at ~140%.
Spear > dSig
This sig has decent speed, covers a good amount of area around Ada, whilst it also has a long duration. With all of this it also kills at the same percent as the sSig! But be careful because the move is super predictable and it’s long duration is also it’s downside, because your opponent has a large window of punishment. Practically the same use as the sSig. Finishes opponents at ~140%.
Spear > nSig
Ada charges a helicopter attack, dashing forward in the air slashing through enemies within the range. If you want to make this signature the most effective, try to not hit your opponents off the ledge bouncing them back. Instead, hit them close to the ledge so they do not bounce back. This sig has exceptional range and okay speed. Finishes an opponent at 120% if they don’t bounce off the ledge.
Best Ada spear combos and strings
sLight > dLight
This is one of the most simple spear combo-string. It can also follow up to some more complicated reads. It has a dodge-window of 2 frames or more, depending on how fast you can do a follow up dlight. Possible at all percentages
dLight > sAir
This is a combo. Good for racking up damage and is also a kill confirm. You can also use it as a follow up for the previous combo. It is relatively easy to input, but positioning is key. Possible at all percentages.
sAir > nLight
Great combo after an aerial hit. Racks up damage and gives you good positioning. After the 80% the combo is no longer doable so you will have to do dodge reads, preferably with the sLight instead of the nLight considering the sLight can lead into more strings.
dLight > nAir
Another follow up option after dLight, however it is not true. It doesn’t kill like sAir, but it does hit neutral dodges, so it is a good option if your opponent keeps neutral dodging. Use this variation so that you can continue the string because the sAir gives too much knockback.
sLight > dLight > gC > dLight > sAir
Longest string on our list. After the sAir you will get an advantageous position over your opponent, they will have to recover to get back into the ring. You can mix up the dLight with nLight or the sAir with nAir, Rec to get a kill finish etc. Lots of variations, be sure to experiment in-game not every string is compatible with every scenario.

Best Ada blaster combos and strings
Article with blaster specific combos:
Blaster > sSig
Great decently raged sig. It is also relatively fast. Can be used in a true comboand also has great kill power. You can pair it with a slide, use it for edge guarding, in combos etc.. Launches opponents horizontally, finishes them at ~120%
Blaster > nSig
This is a very weird signature… Ada proppelles herself upwards while shooting three shots from her blasters. This makes it a situational signature, it doesn’t really kill on stage, so you should use it offstage if you want to kill with it. However you can still use it on stage to trick your opponents a little bit. Launches opponents downwards finishes them at ~100% if hit offstage.
Blaster > dSig
This sig does has huge range. Ada gets launched backwards whilst shooting two small shots from her blasters and then one big one. It has great range but is super predictable and weak. You can use it some times but we do not recommend spamming it. Finishes an opponent at ~160%.
Best Ada blaster combos and strings
dLight > sLight
The most basic blaster combo. It is effective and great considering that the dLight is decently fast and the follow up sLight is easy to input. You can use this combo to follow-up into some dodge read strings. Possible up to 70%
dLight > sAir
This is a great combo and also a kill confirm. Use this combo when you hit a dLight near the end of the stage so that you can confirm a sAir kill. Possible up to 70%
sAir > nLight
Also a pretty good combo when you hit an opponent mid-air. But it doesn’t work at later percentages considering sAir is a kill option. Possible up to 40%
sAir > dLight > sLight
The best combo in blasters kit, considering it consists of three moves, meaning it does the most damage.
Also doesn’t work at later percentages because of the sAir. Possible up to 40%
dAir > gC > dLight > sAir
String that ends with a side-air, you can use it to kill opponents when near the end of the stage. Possible up to 140%.
dAir > gC > nLight > cD > Rec
This is also a string. You can use this one to kill opponents when you are in the middle of the stage because of the recovery. Possible up to 140%, because of the dAir.
dLight > sLight > sAir
A follow up after the true combo. Good for racking up damage. Possible up to 70%
dLight > sSig
One of the few signature combos that are true. Abuse this. Does great damage. At later percentages the dodge window is higher.

Ada Tips and Tricks
Blaster and spear’s recoveries are easy to use which will give you an easier time whilst recovering and you can also use them in combos. However the same thing doesn’t go for their ground pounds, you should be careful because they are very predictable. You can also use every single light attack and signature attack in Ada’s blaster kit and just spam them frantically and your opponent will have a bad time getting back on stage.
Like every other legend in the game, every sig is predictable, but Ada is a special case. You should always be careful when you use her sigs. With every legend in the game you need to put the time and effort into mastering them. All you need now is a guide like mine to get you started.
