How to rank up to Radiant?

Aim

At the end of the day, after everything we mentioned, the key to being good in this game is knowing how to click on heads. It might sound silly, but aim as a skill is a mix of multiple attributes you need to master. Nobody is born with it, and it requires a lot of practice. And there’s no better practice than actually playing the game, so get in there!

Movement

We just mentioned that hitting shots is the most important aspect of the game. Well dodging them is the second most important part of the game. That’s how balance works.

1

Being able to control the character of your agent with the slightest delay will make you unstoppable in this game. You ever wondered how Overwatch players found success in Valorant? They utilize the movement abilities of agents much better than CS2 (CSGO) players.

Abilities

And now we get to the abilities. I’ve seen a lot of people quit Valorant because they didn't like the concept. Each agent having his own unique abilities always meant it was going to be a balance issue, but some players didn't like it at all. But Valorant has managed to gain a massive and expanding player base, so abilities have become a natural part of it. Understanding and mastering them is another part of the game that you have to conquer to reach the highest ranks.

Macro

Macro strategies have long been a part of gaming, but what makes Valorant so interesting is how we implement the abilities into our macro gameplay. Other FPS games can only dream of the macro decisions happening because of a Viper or Astra Wall, having a global damage and reveal ultimate like Sova and so on. It brings another element to the game that we have rarely seen before, and you will have to master it to reach Radiant.

Patterns

To reach this rank, playing the game has to come down to habits and muscle memory for you. You don't think about the shots, because you have warmed up and practiced time and time before. You don't think about the play, because you have seen the outcome time and time again. You don’t care about that bad teammate because you have solo carried games before and you know you can do it again. At the highest level, everything you do is automated by patterns, and you won’t get there until you learn them.

What percentile is Radiant in Valorant?

Radiant in Valorant makes up just 0.02% of the entire playerbase participating in the Competitive game mode. This figure is the lowest rank distribution with a very limited and selected player base.
