Well in Valorant’s Competitive mode, Diamond 1 is the lowest rank in the Diamond division. But Diamond players make up the top 4% of all Valorant players, which speaks volumes about your improvement.

How to rank up from Diamond 1

Predictability

Playing in this elo, you can always expect to be punished for doing the same thing, multiple rounds in a row. Players are skilled and smart enough to recognize patterns and will quickly adjust their gameplay accordingly. Players that play agents with lineups have to be extremely careful.

Dry peeking

We will talk a lot about movement, and how much it matters in these ranks, but one thing that players in this elo should stop doing is dry peeking. No matter how confident you are, or how it used to work in lower rank.

Playing against the top players means that there are some seriously talented aimers that will punish you every time you greed for a peek, without using flashes or smokes.

Entry without comms

As we climb up we see more and more focus being put on communication, but this happens quite often in Diamond lobbies. Duelists entering a site, because he thought he heard someone leaving, without telling his team what his plan was. And some other stuff that players think should be common sense instead of having to announce it in advance.

Don’t try to 1vs9

It’s seen way too often and way too many rounds are lost to ego plays. It’s fine to have confidence and force plays when you are in the zone. But you don't need to be the top frag to win every game. Stop forcing plays. Learn to be carried for once. You lucked out and got a coordinated team that wants to win. If you are having a bad game, there’s no need to prove yourself. 

What percentile is Diamond 1 in Valorant?

Only 4.0% of all players that play in the Valorant Competitive mode are currently in Diamond 1. This number is a lot lower than previous ranks, and it’s here where competitive gamers start separating themselves from the crowd. Some will become pros in the future as well.
