Ascendant 2 Valorant Rank | All You Need To Know

Ascendant rank is a new rank tier that Riot Games added to the rank distribution in Valorant Episode 5 Act 1 update. This Valorant rank tier comes with 3 new Competitive Play ranks (Ascendant 1, Ascendant 2, and Ascendant 3) and is founded between Diamond and Immortal.

Is Ascendant 2 Good in Valorant?

Being in the second stage of the Ascendant rank tier virtually puts you in the top 2.3% of the entire player base in the current rank distribution. You can already see the difference between your plays and the plays from the Platinum and Diamond ranks, not even mentioning the lower ranks.

Riot Games wanted the new rank tier to divide the players that are just good from the ones that really have the potential to rule the competitive scene at some point. All in all, by being in Ascendant 2 Valorant rank, you are better than nearly 98% of all Valorant players, and that’s a good start to think about going pro if that is your thing.

How To Rank Up From Ascendant 2

Even though Ascendant 2 means that you represent a decent skill level, there are higher ranks in the ranking system. These tips will help guarantee you some sweet Rank Rating gains in your ranked play climb!

Play The Meta

Knowing the metagame is probably the most important thing about climbing for ranks like Ascendant. Look, all Ascendant players have their aim, lineups, etc. on point, so it’s really about going for the strategies that actually work in the current metagame, which leads us to our second tip:

Learn More Agents

Your main Agent will not always rock the metagame; and even if it will, instalockers are a thing. By expanding your Agent pool, you give yourself more flexibility, and this will increase your chances of winning games.

2

Plus, when you learn popular metagame Agents, you understand better why they are good, and therefore you also kind of learn how to counter them with strategies and abilities. This is probably the most important tip to have in mind on your road to the highest rank called Radiant.

Play Non-Ranked Sparring Matches

Another essential tip is to play against high-skilled players. Whether this is through online tournaments or they are scrims, it doesn't matter. What matters is that you play against people that are better than you, and don't forget to raise the bar for yourself in that matter.
