Diamond 3 Valorant Rank | All You Need To Know

Is Diamond 3 good in Valorant?

In Valorant’s Competitive mode, Diamond 3 is the highest Diamond rank. This means that there are almost six divisions of players you should be better than. You are entering a higher level of play and will meet current and future pros. Might even make a name for yourself with a pop off performance on some stream.

How to rank up from Diamond 3

Jump spotting

This is another movement technique that any player can use to safely and quickly gather information. It’s easier to do than jiggle peeking which we already mentioned, it can also bait out shots and positions but there are only a few jump spotting spots on each map. You can jump spot from behind the boxes to clear Showers, A Short and Hookah on Bind. You can also do it on Ascent in A Main, behind the green boxes on the A Site and Mid Top, from CT spawn to Mid Market. Other maps also have these kinds of positions.

Dedicated flanker/ lurker

One thing we most commonly see as we are going up in ranks, is that every player on a team needs to do his role so the team functions properly.

This also includes having a dedicated flanker or lurker on each team, who will split up from his team and try to create some opportunities on his own. Most often that player should play off his team's aggression and pick enemies that are rotating, or watch for the enemy flank. Teams that don't utilize this strategy often fall victim to overagression from both their own and the enemy team.

Mistimed utility

Using smokes way too early in a round, using utility before the Duelists are comfortable going in, not saving abilities for the post plant, using them without coordination. All of these examples can lose you rounds that should have been “free” because you didn’t bother communicating with your team. Call out what you want to do or what you have, and play accordingly.

Over exposed positioning

Defenders often fall victim to their own confidence, because they don't think about all of the situations that can happen. Sure you are holding an angle where you will have the advantage, but that’s only on the first guy. What about the Skye Ultimate, Jett Dash, Raze double Satchel? Now you find yourself exposed to multiple enemies of which you can only shoot one, if lucky. Part of the beauty of Valorant is that these kinds of situations can be created, but you need to learn to play around them.
